Brayford and Adkins

I honestly think he was saying what the fook is this formation about . White Louis reed seemingly playing right wing but not doing it very well and Ryan Flynn playing somewhere central it totally cocked up Brayford rhythm .

"You're shit subs are making me look like a right dick here"

You're probably nearer the truth there than you think. (For those who couldn't see it, it was a heated exchange. Expect JB to fall out of favour...) Adkins' 'tactics' make even our better players look crap. FWIW, I think Brayford exudes class at this level - quick of thought and always looking to control the ball and think about what to do with it. Totally unlike most of the rest who just lump it and think they've done their job. In this current squad, he shines out like a diamond in a dung heap. And God, I feel sorry for Billy & Done. Two slightly-built blokes expected to shoulder all attacking duties, close down and run about 10 miles every game. Then, when they could do a job (like when Swindon got a free kick on the JSS side near the end), it cried out to leave one or both on the halfway line to provide an outlet. Adkins' choice? Every single United player back to within 30 yards of our goal line.

The evidence that Adkins is a poor manager who got lucky with a glut of Southampton's Academy players is growing. His substitutions are calamitous, his interviews pure garbage and his tactical nous non-existent. Things like playing the totally right-footed J C-R on the left wing are just one example of many. Today, I thought Swindon were one of the poorest teams I've seen in ages. Until we conceded ground, fell back and 'invited them on'. Pure cowardice.

He's Clough Mk. II.

Yes there was a discussion but would hardly call it heated. Think your reading more into it than it was. I sit 5 rows behind dugout and definitely not that bad

I suppose he got lucky when he promoted Scunthorpe as well? Twice.

That's a insult to Clough

I wonder what Brayford was saying to Adkins during their heated discussion at the touchline? 'Why is there no one playing on the rightwing now you've taken Coutts off ' I guess.

"Sorry I'm shit Boss. You'll read about it on S2 4SU later, it seems I can't defend, and going forward, can't control a ball let alone cross it. And I haven't shagged Ricky's Mum, honest"

Got lucky four times, which is "plausible".

Wibble.

Yet another goal conceded down Brayfords side today?

I know what you are saying, but maybe "horses for courses"?

There's a bit of conjecture here, so maybe I'm full of shit (and am happy to be the first to say it!), but maybe he went to Scunthorpe and Southampton and they were teams who were capable of putting it together on the pitch tactically, but needed a motivator? (something fans and players alike have said that Adkins is your man for). Maybe we are a team who need it putting together tactically, and (I think many here might agree) also need someone who is a disciplinarian?

Perhaps he's a square peg for a round hole (ironically, like many of his signings)?

That's probably not far from the truth mate. I just hope he knows the players required to make that 'team', and can clear enough out in the summer to make room for them. Interesting though that Hammond was clearly a key part of the Southampton formula but he seems to be splitting opinion amongst Blades.
