I've just watch an injury-riddled Norwich team have a go at Man City and beat them whilst we line up defensively against one of the poorest sides in the league.

Since Wilder joined we've been brave. However, this season we seem to be trying to hold teams and then hopefully get something. Personally, I'd like us to be a bit braver. I'm not talking gung-ho but be slightly more adventurous.
 



No we didn’t line up defensively at all! What on Earth are you talking about? We deserved something from today’s game no doubt about it! Stupid mistake again and missed chances!

Seriously people need to stop making ridiculous comments after a defeat! Set up defensively!!!!!! I despair at times

Agreed. The only time we have been really positive this season is when we were 2-0 down at Chelsea. Today was particularly disappointing against a very average team.

I must have been watching different games this season. The only thing we have changed is a no.10 for another box to box midfielder.

No way are we trying to hold teams and nick something.

For the most part our strikers were isolated. Fleck got forward a few times early on to support and they gave Baldock ridiculous amounts of space but we hardly attacked them.
 
Although I don’t think we’ve lined up particularly defensively we are giving teams far too much respect in the early stages and letting them take the impetus rather than having a go at them from the off.

Bramall Lane needs to be a fortress and so far we’ve played 3 lost 2, and not played any of the top 6 yet.

I watched most of that game and I didn't see Norwich having a go at Man City. They did exactly the same everyone does against them, defended deep and tried to counter-attack.

They did both those very well today, though, and made the most of a very lacklustre City side who were presumably suffering from the mythical Fifa virus. So well done Norwich, and well deserved.

We had 17 shots and 12 corners, but we were defensive?
 
The craziest thing is that the starting line up at Chelsea was more attacking than at home to Southampton?!?

We’re not ultra defensive, but we are showing average Premier League sides far too much respect. Get back to 3-4-1-2 from now on, it’s served us pretty well for the last 3 years!

On another day we'd win 3-0. Just got to be more clinical with chances and cut the gift goals away.
Oh and maybe not have fucking Lee Mason as ref. What an utter tosser.

they put in a ‘professional performance’.. nicked a goal from a mistake and did a job on us ;)

3-0? Absolutely laughable opinion. What did the ref do?
 
What did the ref do? Laughable, was you even watching the same match? You know when fans stay back to boo the wank ref? That tells you everything. Also , spoke to loads of Blades on way out saying same.

Watched it on TV so I reckon I had a better view of what the ref did than you.

I tell you what the ref did miss. He missed McBurnie kick out at the lad who pushed him into the advertising hoardings. He missed McGoldrick potentially elbow one of their players.

The ref was a bit shit both ways. He let too much go (both ways).

Defensive😳 We had five strikers on the pitch in the second half!
 
We were the best team for much of the game and took it to them after their initial attacks faltered early on.

Well done to Norwich, however that game has nothing to do with ours. Op is an over reaction after one game. Decent performance but we didn't take our chances and at this level you get punished. Southampton look technically very good and break quickly. We matched them for much of a game that could have ended 1-0 either way or 1-1.

Agreed. Very quick, very professional, made the most of the few chances they had. By no means the worst we’ve played this season. That said, we were good enough to beat them and should have done.

Norwich had 31% of the ball and 3 shots on target.

If you think we lined up defensively and think we need to be more adventurous, you can’t possibly have gone today.

We were excellent and created shed loads of chances. With some decent finishing we could have had 5.
