its changed a lot in 30 years
I was at that game!
Was thinking the same.how many of those brands still exist?
Summer of 91 (after the Norwich match), so yes you would have been in a seat. When did the kop get converted to all seater? I would have put money on watching the Derby in Nov 1991 from my seat on the kop.
Thank fuck for that. Thought I had early onset alzheimers.Summer of 91 (after the Norwich match), so yes you would have been in a seat.
There's something iconic about that view of St Mary's church over the top of John Street. It goes all the way back to the early days of the ground in the 19th century. Shame we can't see that anymore but the ground is so much better these days.
That 1991 2-0 was the only derby match I've missed at either the Lane or Hillsboro since 1966. Wife had us booked on a piss up in Amsterdam that weekend, before the fixtures came out. Showed the goals on Dutch TV on Sunday evening. Pissed myself watching Chris Woods do his best open-legged John Hope impression. Drank far too much in celebration. When did the kop get converted to all seater? I would have put money on watching the Derby in Nov 1991 from my seat on the kop.
It's changed a lot more than Pigsboro , that's exactly the same as 30 years ago .just waiting for the first derby in years

One of the few good things about being old - you can’t get early onset Alzheimer’s!Thank fuck for that. Thought I had early onset alzheimers.
Took my daughter to her first match in March/April 1991 and sat in the South Stand just to the side where this photo was taken. First time I can remember sitting to watch a match.
Not really, it has more rust and flakey paint. It's changed a lot more than Pigsboro , that's exactly the same as 30 years ago .
It might look slightly dated but it’s not that bad!Looks like Hillsborough today…
I remember that game, I was on the South Stand with my dad. The roof of the kop was removed and people were taking turns sliding down the big flag that was being held up. Happy MemoriesSummer of 91 (after the Norwich match), so yes you would have been in a seat.
