As much as the media like to big up the dream of "little " clubs like Bournemouth and Brighton achieving the impossible dream of reaching the premierleague

The reality is Bournemouth broke ffp rules and Brighton owner put half a billion pounds in

There are a couple of blokes ...... well, one in particular that swears by the FFP Rules ............

Scott reads it to him everynight to get him to sleep

I'd hardly call Brighton a little club these days. 30k stadium and a decent fan base.

Weren't that long ago they were regularly playing in front of 4,000 though, was it?

Don't know the breakdown but simple division puts it at £30m a year average. Almost three times our annual turnover.
Last season's loss was £26m. That's on top of their income and they get the kind of attendances we're hoping for. Their spend must have been north of £40m.

They went up when we went down, I think, so they've had six years in the championship, building. The stadium was about £100m and I suspect the bulk of the rest was spent in the championship so probably something like an average loss of £20-25m on 'running costs' and player investments.

I hope our owners are ready...
