Sorry but if we want to get out of this mess and improve the squad, we need to be looking for (at least) more effective players than BWP. He's reasonable at this level but he will not have the sort of impact we're looking for.

Am I the only one who isn't particularly awe-struck by the possibility of us signing Bradley Wright Phillips? When did he transform from lanky, handbag stealing laughing stock, living off his step-dad and big (tiny) brother's reputations and become a credible footballer?

He's scored a few at this level, granted, but I can't be the only one who thinks Blackman is a better footballer and, given time to develop, will be a much better player, or can I?

Agreed Latters - but to be fair, once Blackman has gone, he's not a bad choice from what's available. He got 22 in this division last season.

Anyone who signs for Preston is desperate and should be avoided ,if I was a player the 3 managers I would avoid like the plague would be Graham westley ,Billy Davies and Blackwell ,otherwise i wouldnt call myself a footballer anymore.
