Quite amazing - Bournemouth player complaining about the ref, not stopping the game when they went down “injured “. Mind you, making snide remarks to them about getting relegated does seem a bit odd!
Quite frankly Goslings whining is embarrassing.....”sir, sir....we got beat by a nasty northern club and you didn’t fall for our rolling around and constant cheating...we will go down because you didn’t stop players from that rough club Sheffield United”......GROW A PAIR GOSLING and the whole Bournemouth team for that matter.....you were beaten by a better club and team and you ARE going down!
Rant over.....😉🤫

It’s just occurred to me that it was the only live PL game that day - the whole world was watching that. Just think about that Rico, the whole world watched you scream like a goat.

The 365 thread is a thing to behold. The amusement at Gosling's hypocrisy is delicious. Will pop up some comments later.

I laughed when I heard this as apart from 1st 20 minutes when they played well Bournemouth players spent more time on floor than a carpet, fell over at slightest touch and generally cheated.

Indeed they were judging by just the comments In Roy's The Neutral View From it would seem Bournemouth have been up to these tactics for quite some time against other clubs.

Question
Who Said This

I’m taking my players’ word for it, you don’t want to see diving in the game. If there is something to be viewed I’m sure the authorities will view it. You don’t want to see any team cheating intentionally.”

This article from 2012 suggests that, in the future, referees' conversations were to be recorded. If that is still the case there should be plenty of evidence to show what was actually said by Jon Moss.

Ref chief Riley backs move to record match officials' conversations

Heated conservations between referees and Premier League players during matches will be recorded and stored within the next month.

Although the recordings will not be made public, the Premier League and FA will use them to protect referees in disciplinary cases in future.

Referees chief Mike Riley is looking to introduce the new equipment in the coming weeks after Mark Clattenburg was cleared of racist abuse towards Chelsea player Jon Obi Mikel.

It's good to talk: From December referees conversations with their assistants will be recorded
That original report was made to the FA by Chelsea player Ramires after the game between Chelsea and Manchester United which was not recorded on equipment used by referees now.

Premier League chiefs are now ordering new equipment so referees performances will be available and stored digitally after games.

The same system is used by rugby referees and their match performances are available for public broadcast during games. But Premier League games will be kept private.

Riley said: 'To reduce the risk of an episode of this nature being repeated PGMOL will introduce recording of the referees' communication system on a private basis.'

Former Premier League referee Graham Poll has welcomed the move although he doubts it will bring an immediate improvement in players’ behaviour towards referees

He is hopeful however that referees will be able to use the facility to improve player management during matches as part of their training.

Poll said: 'What it highlights is that games should have been recorded anyway and the fact it is going to happen now is very sad because it proves that the relationship between referees and players is not as good as it should be and there is a problem of trust between the two parties.

'I hope the PGMO don’t miss out on a trick here. There are incidents where a player goes racing up to the referee to protest and is clearly unhappy, and he is quickly calmed down by the referee. In those incidents the recording could be used and played back as part of referees’ training to demonstrate how it is possible to placate a player who is upset.

'Man management is almost the most important part of the referee’s performance and it could be a great tool to help them.’

Although the system works in rugby, the Premier League believe using recordings of conversations, or shouting matches between players and officials would be counter-productive.

Poll however believes the threat of the recording being heard by Riley or the FA will make players think twice about dissent, and making accusations against referees and other officials.

He said: `When the system was first introduced we met rugby referees who said they used the microphones as a tool to calm players down because, they would point at their earpiece and remind them it is being recorded. So that could work.

'It could also result in more dismissals because players know what they say will be heard back now.

'If there is an incident involving a player shouting and swearing at a referee which is unedifying and offensive and the player has not been sent off, Mike Riley might decide to look and listen to that incident again and ask the referee concerned for his thoughts afterwards.

'So in future matches that same referee may decide to take action and dismiss a player because he knows their conversation will be heard back. And that is not necessarily a bad thing.’

The Premier league said today that cautions for dissent are down by half over the last three seasons and that bookings this season are down 20 per cent compared to last season.
I suspect that this tells the tale behind the refs comments on Sunday. He was probably getting some right shit off Bournemouth players and gave a bit back. I once played in a Sunday league game in a park near Gleadless. After about half an hour, our Centre mid shouts, "that's a shocking decision ref", to which the ref says "the only shocking thing on show today son is the standard of the football"

"Fair comment" says our centre mid. Conversation over.

It's part of what good refs do to shut up all the shit they get. I reckon Gosling is a dick and got some back from the ref.

More broadly on the performance of the Bournemouth players on Sunday, Harry Wilson should have booked for his ridiculous dive 1/2 way through the first half, and by half way through the 2nd half the ref just left them lying on the floor for a couple of minutes until they just got up and carried on playing.

In my view the game goes on unless a player has a potential head injury and may have stopped breathing. Otherwise it can wait till the ball goes out. If they've broken a leg then 2 minutes won't really make any difference and 99.999999% of the time there is nowt wrong with them

For what it’s worth I thought Johnathan Moss refereed the game very well. He maybe should have come down harder on the play-acting but in general he kept the game moving and got very little wrong.

As to the “sarky” comments... I don’t know what was said but I suspect a bit of preciousness here? If they’d not lost I doubt we’d have heard about it.

Tbh - I’m getting a bit fed up of footballers on huge salaries getting upset about name-calling. Pay me that kind of money and you can call me everything from a pig to a dog!

Players really are as thick as shit when it comes to this. If you keep going down when you’re not being fouled, then sooner or later you’ll get fouled and it will be ignored because everyone thinks you’re just going down easily again. What’s difficult to understand here?
One of the funiest things I've seen on a football pitch was Forestieri get a second yellow for a dive against Hull (Dawson was the Hull defender) a few years back.

Me and a fellow blade were having a quiet Friday night drink in a pub full of Wednesday fans and the replay showed he'd been fully cleaned out by the Hull player.

The pub went mental, but as you say, he'd made his own bed.

Wolves forum have thread, they don't like Bournemouth.

What are the things between a pig and a dog btw? 🤔

I’ve heard me little owd mam use that saying but I’ve never really understood what it includes?

A bit like when she’d threaten me with

“Tha’ll be laughing on t’ other side o’ thi face in a minute!”

A grown man has hurt feelings because a ref allegedly made a tongue-in-cheek comment about their league position.

If Gosling is a senior influence in the Bournemouth squad, no wonder they are so weak and relegation fodder.

Quite arrogant to think there is any value in calling out a ref in such a way. All it ensures is all the 50/50s will now go against them, if any ref gets a chance, they'll give the penalty, booking, red card regardless of VAR. If it results in relegation they'll be no retirement home in Bournemouth for him.
Contrast it with Wilder's wisdom, praising the refs when he can, avoid criticising them however justly and it might mean points. If only Warnock had the same humility ...

Wilder does very well to hold his tongue regarding refs in his post match interviews.

If you cant change it accept it and get on with it.No point in storing up resentment with referees Wilder uses common sense
Puts it all to bed.

If they've broken a leg
Not sure this is 100% but whenever I've seen a player get really hurt, they look to their bench (to get them off the pitch) and not to the referee.

Think it's just banter really, a player said to him "You're having a nightmare ref" so the ref responded "you're in the relegation zone"

If you're going to give it you've got to be able to take it back surely.

Is this Dan Goslings 15 minutes ? Because Id never heard of the wanker even though I was at the game.

I remember Neill Collins saying the same about John Moss disrespecting us after we lost our Fa Cup tie at Man Utd under Adkins.

Maybe the banter gets irritating when you are losing.

I can imagine prior to that Collins had been giving the ref an ear full like he did to even his own teammates.

Christ almighty.

Football equivalent of dog bites man story

I don't remember gosling.

H Wilson, C Wilson, King, Ake, Fraser, Billing and Rico all caught the eye for one reason or another but not him
