Boro v Watford tomorrow

Draw is the preferred result - leaves one team on 45 and another on 43.

Watfords win mean one on 47 and one on 42 - sure this knocks Boro further back, but only one team needs to catch us
Boro Win is one on 45 one on 44 - this is clearly better than a Watford win, but worse that a draw for us.

A draw or Boro win would be nice
Yes that would be the best outcome. Boro to win is probably the best as the gap to 3rd doesnt reduce but it may give them a bit of confidence after their loss to Sun'land ? A draw would be brilliant as although the gap reduces by one - they both drop 2 points!

When you look at Watford's upcoming games I doubt they will win them all but obviously a draw suits us best and then a middlesbrough win but all three results help us in some way.

Draw.

Followed by a mass 22 man brawl. Points deducted and a few players out for the season!

Not asking much. Edit: great minds think alike Cheets

Guarantee Porktalk will get upset that one of the chasing pack didn’t win and it’s all going our way!

And this debate illustrates why even if we have a rocky patch we should be difficult to catch. All these teams trying to catch us have to play each other and rhe chance of any one of them coming through all those games unscathed is very low. That gives us even more wriggle room than the 4 win gap we already have

it helps us that theres at least 12 teams still chasing a play off spot gonna be at least 4 of em playing each other every week now so if we bollox this up now it will be the bollock up of all time although it is sheffield united 🤔🤔🤔

Could do with each of them fielding an illegible player. Has anyone got the number for Michael Verrips'agent?

Hopefully a mass brawl with multiple sendings off.

It'll be dubbed "The Riverside Battle of the Handbags", it won't be a patch on The Battle of Bramall Lane though.

I'll pretend to know the best outcome and say we need a draw or Boro to win.

It's being shown in various worldwide countries if you want to catch a flight to see the game 😉

A draw would be another good result for us. Maintains a healthy gap and means another game has gone for 2 of our nearest challengers.
Tbh a Watford win wouldn't be the worst outcome as it would keep Boro down and look at Watford's next few , I think we can extend the gap

2 nil Boro...could do with Watford not going completely off the boil in the next few weeks!

Just watched the first half. Boro the better of 2 poor teams. Akprom the best player on the pitch but he got extremely lucky with his goal. Watford all over the place at the back. For all those who accuse Berge of going missing in games, well his potential replacement last summer (Kone) has been missing all game - I'd love to see how many touches he actually had.....less than 10 would be my guess. On that display we dodged a bullet I reckon.
Archer looks sharp for Boro but loses the plot at the vital moment.

Before today's games, Middlesbrough were 15 points behind us and 16 points ahead of third bottom.

Boro have played very well today and Archer has had a great debut. Watford look shite.
