I've never booed but to be honest Saturday made me think about it!! Aside from the first 10 minutes it was the most inept passionless performance I can remember for a long long time.
I know a lot of the older fans can say "it's been a lot worse" and recall memories of days in the lower leagues but with the state the club is in now (excellent) we should be entitled to expect more. I don't expect to win every week but I do expect the players to show at least some of the passion the fans have and some of the quality that they are paid to produce. I'm sure we're easily in the top 6 in terms of wage bills so to be just above the drop zone is not on. It's all very well repeating the word 'patience' but at this rate it's going to be too late unless the top 3 slow down or we go on an amazing run.
I think the players need to know that performances like that are not good enough. Are we seriously expected to applaud them after that non-performance?! Not a chance. Improvement Tuesday or I think we'll see attendances drop and then we really are on a slippery slope.

not all blades fans are like that though. performances are shit, attendances go down.

Think they players know its bad but robson i can imagine dosent go off like warnock and get it into there heads that its improvement or bench.

one thing i cant fault warnock for was he made the players frightened of coming off the pitch if they hadnt given 110%

I guess everyone who pays there money is entitles to show that players what they think of the performance. However while booing might be carthic to the fans who are doing it i feel that its counter productive as it makes the already brittle confidence of the lads worse, the lane is at its best when everyone is behind the team and regardless of how poorly we are playing at the moment im sure the players would appreciate less stick from there own fans. Im sure that many will think that right now they do not deserve the encourgement but i believe that it could make a difference.

Robson is no less animated than most managers. It's Warnock that was the exception. A bit late to start appreciating him though.

From what I've seen so far this season (Home games & Blackpool away) Ive been extremely disappointed. I never greeted Robson with open arms but bit my tongue for the sake of the club and everything thats happened this summer. Robson has never been or never will be a passionate guy and this is illustrated through the team as the opposite effect was under Warnock. My main quarm is not that he isnt shouting like a mad man on the sidelines but he is not giving the players the direction, especially the younger ones. Players like Billy Sharp are going to rot under Robson because he's not a good enough coach to know what to do with them.
And as for this positive style of play i havent seen much of that so far.
I fear we will never be anything better than indifferent under Robson. He was our most important summer signing and i think it was the wrong one.
Anyone who thinks we're going up under Robson is deluded.

I think Robbo should have until christmas (unless he loses 6 on the bounce ) if then we are still in the same position maybe it'd be time to get a new man in, but untill then, if all the fans got behind the lads tomorrow, we can be the 12th man which we werent on saturday

robson is one of the most boring managers. no passion, just standing there. I look up and kidd is shouting and robson doing f/a. his voice drones on in interviews, its stagnent and its the way we are heading.

Robson dosent fit the bill at united, a big name. other fans ive talked to in the past, think of united as a team of battlers, fighting for wins, hense the blades for war. Looks like now were putting them down and are content with a white rose.

How can you compare Sheffield United to Manchester United?

Manchester United are a team that have had a "freak" result and lost, even though their performance was good enough to win 4 games, but it wasn't to be.

We have had what we now deem to be a "normal" performance and lost and deservedly so.

The reason we didn't boo against teams like Chelsea and Man United was because they are quite clearly better than us, Plymouth however are not. They were nothing special, we was just crap.
