I try to watch games objectively and if I felt that they dominated I’d like to think I’d say it as it is. As the away side you expect to have less possession, you’re not as adventurous as perhaps you are at home. Its one of those things. So perhaps you accept a lesser performance as your expectations are lower.

Last night was one of those ugly games: devoid of quality, at least from half time. We started with a number of changes, debuts and a player returning from Suspension.

The first half was ok, it started scrappy and we probably started to take hold of the game, retain possession better after the initial first 10-15 mins. We dominated as much as we could, the midfield 3 being particularly comfortable.

I thought that Leon seemed to be getting battered a lot, they were doing a job on him and Billy. So credit to Bolton for that. However, I felt that Leon seemed to be leaving himself in there to be clattered, it was weird to see.

We clearly ended the first half on top and Bolton had to do something.

Bolton were much better second half, doesn’t mean that they were good, but they played a game to stifle ours. It became a scrap and some firm, but fair tackles, some cynical ones – from both sides. The ref wasn’t biased, just poor.

We were happy to allow them possession, afterall we are excellent on the counter, this side thrives on that and we should’ve had at least two more goals.

Lafferty was composed until later on, Baldock, I need to see more of him, but don’t think he has worried Freeman just yet as he seemed a little nervy. His rolling around when he won a freekick on the edge of their box was embarrassing and we really don’t need to see that.

Brooks caused them problems. Lundstram shored things up when Duffy was tiring. Basham was necessary to add some bite

Another side note, I noticed that our players were getting dragged into moaning at the ref. Its not something we saw last season. Its not something which we need to see.

As for Bolton, I thought they were poor, they were going to have possession and they did little with it. Blackman made some saves and yes we had spells under pressure, especially at the end. However, I don’t think they really did enough to get anything other than a defeat. Certain players seemed more concerned with trying to injure ours. Horrible side and nothing to be proud about with that performance.

And Madine, a fitting poster boy boy for that rabble. He truly is a special kind of cunt.

Did he actually play? Or did he hear the some Blades fans were seen carrying eggs so cried off and decided to vent his 'anger management issues' on some piss-head in Bolton's premier nite-spot?

I thought Baldock played well and made some great runs in behind their fullback that didn't get spotted, his pace will get us in behind a lot more than Freeman and even with how good Freeman has been I can see Baldock taking his position.

CW has said we need to learn to use some of the dark arts of the game a bit better and that's why you'll see us having a pop at the ref when we feel we're being cheated and also making sure we get the free kicks by enhancing the foul so to speak, we did it on more than one occasion last night and it incensed the Bolton fans which was good to see. :)

Phil Parkinson has the demeanor of a man who appeals at press conferences for information about his missing wife and kids before it turns out that he's murdered them and buried them in the back garden.

You seem to know a lot about that sort of thing.

You must be either a top Detective Inspector sleuth, or a man with missing wife and kids who has just ........

That's pretty much how I saw it. Was relieved to hear the final whistle, although we had better chances to increase the lead than they did to equalise. Big physical team compared to us. Was a bit "worried" for Brooks when he came on even though I thought he might just be the magic ingredient given the open nature of the play. I didn't need to worry, he coped very well, strong lad.

Baldock was ok, but he's didn't use the ball that well at times. I am sure it will come with experience

Can't ever agree that rolling around is anything other than an attempt to con the referee. Call me old fashioned, but lets leave the crowding of refs or moaning to the relegation fodder of Bolton or the disliked Chelsea/ Man U. One player should only speak to the ref, the captain.

I'm not really on about about the rolling around, it's the getting into the refs ear so he maybe gives us a decision next time.

Come on Swiss, they must've had ten free kicks in our half in that last ten minutes and all of them were soft. If we'd have lost or drawn to one of these decisions I'd have been pretty pissed off. We can't just expect to stand there and take it, saying nothing, we were ourselves getting conned.

And despite the Whites looking the more likely side to find the net throughout the remainder of the 90, their efforts wereultimately fruitless come full time.

I'm sure it was us who hit the bar and Clarke who missed a sitter. Was I at a different match o_O
Dont remember Blackman having an actual save to make all match - only collecting crosses !

Utter cunts.
One fecker on their forum was asking for big sam to come home.
On a scale of 1 to a million how deluded is that.

Come home to a club £180 million in debt who should rightly get booted out of the EFL for financial doping.
No end of winding up orders.

I wish they go bust , can't happen too quick for me.
For some reason bud at first glance I always think your avatar is Pat Phelan off Corrie and it makes my blood boil.

As you were.

That's exactly what we have to do. It's a horrible part of the game. As much as most refs are Cunts they do a job which should be respected. It's up to their bosses go then make sure they get handled correctly afterwards

Handled correctly afterwards is too late, with the money in football they should be getting more decisions right at the time, it could prove very costly.

We've done it in the past, it helps ease the pain.

Not when we're a few games into the season and having just got promoted against all odds! Parky might be a miserable whiner and his football isn't the prettiest, but the job he's done there is superb.

I think they extended Parky's contract not long ago which makes their situation even more laughable if true.

Parkinson: "Maybe somewhere around the corner something is going to fall to us, someone is going to block to one of us and we are going to smash it into the back of the net."

What a prick. As if CCV's goal was a fluke... as if it's nowt but bad luck that they lost to us. and Middlesbrough. and got thrashed by Hull. and Derby. Sorry, and Leeds too. REALLY bad luck these trotters seem to have. Better hope for better luck when they're playing Accrington next season...

No wonder there bitter , if that was there attempt at 'football ' & best ' performance ' of season they really are feeding off scraps ... never mind A few local derbies for you again lads .. Bury , Rochdale , Oldham go fill your boots .

Wanderers fell to a cruel defeat despite dominating proceedings for the most part against Sheffield United on Tuesday evening.

The visitors took the lead with their first real threat on Bolton’s goal, with debutant Cameron Carter-Vickers forcing the ball home via a deflection with 12 minutes of the first half to play.

And despite the Whites looking the more likely side to find the net throughout the remainder of the 90, their efforts were ultimately fruitless come full time.

Fuck me what were they watching or is this North Korea talk brainwashing ?
They are just a joke club...end of
