to be fair I thought Tongey actually had a half decent game today, he was let down by the 2 guys in the middle.

I don't know what the bloody hell Tongey was doing but there was a reason Paddy was forever kicking it to the right wing, not left.

Tongey won't run forwards anymore... sideways and back but not forward even when there were options for him.

I think a fair result would've been a point.

Noone has mentioned Jagielka having a bit of a nightmare today... passing the ball to the feet of an advancing attacker in the name of a "clearance" - not good!

Few off days all round. Keef didn't have the legs, Nade was chuffing knackered at half time, Kilgallon looked a bit unsure positionally.

CKR now seems to be the official hate figure for the club despite being the only player to try and get the ball forward. "Too arrogant". Nah... he should just think he's shit yeah? Have no self-belief.

And someone was calling " four four fucking two" about five minutes in - Despite the fact we were playing more 4-4-1-1 before Nade tired anyway. They seem to think that the ball will just find it's way to the forwards if we play 4-4-2 and that everything will be well. 4-4-2 is magical like that. Means all players are on the top of their game and everything...

United fans really pissed me off today

He nearly scored from running forward into the box didnt he? He also set up Leggy for his shot I believe. He wasnt great but he played better than Keef on the other wing in any case. Neither got enough of the ball, and when they did options were limited.

Thought CKR was good today also, Nade did his best but didnt have a great deal of service

Bolton

I went to this one, and I thought it was great the Sheffield united fans gave the stadium a fantastic atmosphere.

I thought that we deserved to lose this one, they outplayed us in every department. They were battering Paddy Kenny with shots who stopped them brilliently, and I think that this was his best match of the season he was magnificent; his defence on the other hand were not so good and the attack was worse. Good game though, great atmosphere, looking farward to Charlton.

Why did fans piss you off, the fans made the atmosphere great?

Welcome to the forum.

I think she means the ones who winge throughout the full match about certain players and the formation.

We had some on either side of us who contradicted themselves on many occasions.

We heard it all.....bring Stead on....from the first minute.....when he came on others were saying how crap he is.......kick it over the top......don't boot it.

Oh and one said Shelton should be on the left wing.

Who's right???

I thought we played much better than of late and could have snatched a point but it was a great finish for the goal.

Personally i thought we played better than we have for a while - there was some promising stuff played yesterday - Paddy played excellent - i thought leading up to the goal it was a handball when he controlled it down to pass think it was anelka - things we need to change is play geary at right back beacause he isn't afraid of attacking and overlapping down the right wing which we needed more - also play CKR as a winger he can hold the ball up then at least we will have 2 strikers to play off

having seen replays on tv that diouf was offside when davies struck the ball it pisses me off that he was blocking paddys view so if that isnt interfering with play then what is. Improved performance take it in to saturdays game, also what did kilgallon play like for those who went.

Is that arguement if hes not interfering why is he on the pitch

They go for you they go against you!

In my opinion Killa got beat far too many times, and his positional play was not good at all.

But on the positive side, Kilgallons 'do' provided great comic relief.

Not really looked through the thread, so im just going to write down my views on the game.

first off i thought the changes and the squad picked was a great one, that nearly worked and we were very unlucky to lose. But like they say you dont get luck very often at the bottom!

Thought Kenny made some excellent saves in goal, something we havent seen too much of from him this season.

I thought Jags and Killgallon both played well at the back also.

The midfield were too evry good. Keith had a good shot that was unlucky not to go in, Tonge played well and Ligiertwood and Monty were magnificent!

Kazim made some good runs, and is a player we need to keep hold of, as he is something we have been missing.

Nade did little up front, which really let us down.

Not a great deal to complain about in my opinion - Bolton have a great home record and we created more than our fair share of chances. I think Warnock acted well on the experience gained from our game against them at home and fielded his "biggest" 11 - was a little gung-ho in changing the entire back 4 - especially the inclusion of Leigh Bromby who has been disappointing so far but for the most part it worked - and Bromby did ok. I do wonder if Morgan would've done a better job at centre-back adding a bit of muscle but that's purely hindsight simply because Jags didn't have a great game.

I'm not too aware of "The United Fans" making CKR an official hate figure - are you referring to all the fans Linz or just those sat near to you? Most Blades I talk to think he's one of the few players who add this "Premiership quality" we're all made to believe in by the pundits. :)

Kenny was ignoring the left wing from kick off so I presume that was tactical rather than because Tongey wasn't playing well - I thought he did better on Saturday than he has done for a while to be honest but hey-ho, opinions will differ.

If it wasn't for Kenny's excellent performance we could've lost it by 3 or 4 but the same logic must apply to Jask-howeveryouspellhisname and by all accounts he had to make some pretty high class saves too.

Up the Blades, nobody really thought we'd get anything from Liverpool, Chelsea, Bolton and the impending ManUre, but it still hurts when we lose - add to that we lost Hulse on the way and have yet to score without him, but that's football - we're NOT short on strikers, we HAVE strikers who can score goals, we HAVE players who believe in themselves and we HAVE a few teams coming up before the end of the season that we really should beat. Bolton were never one of those teams (in my opinion of course!).
