Boldock/Freeman

I don’t think so. Baldock was brought in as an improvement over Freeman. I think that’s about right tbh.

Freeman can play central defence though, if needed.
My belief is that Baldock was brought in to provide competition/cover for Freeman, not really replace him as such. Will be an interesting battle between the two and both should relish the competion tbh.

Ha! No they won’t!

One of em will get fed up and piss off.

That’s life!

All this bollocks about “liking a challenge” is pure testicles!

We want an easy life!

Freemon is still getting back to his best ,but things change game to game. Talking about left wing back I thought Mansfields left back Malvind Benning looked very good last Saturday and noticed he scored against the grunters. He looked a bit of a mark up on Stevens to me ,if we are looking .

It is one position we don't have to worry about. Baldock and Freeman are good at this level, and Basham, as demonstrated yesterday can provide short-term cover. Freeman is the more dangerous, as he is the best crosser, and not turning great positions in to goals is still a problem for us. But don't forget either that Baldock scored a lovely goal v Swansea, Freeman provided the cross for Billy at QPR, and Basham played the ball that opened up Norwich for the winner yesterday. Not a bad record for the RWB's in 4 games.

Am I wrong in thinking Freeman can play on either flank? For some reason I remember him not having a bad weak foot around the time when Clough first brought him in

If he has (which I doubt because it probably would have already happened by now) maybe he could replace Stevens until we sign another permanent LWB, both Baldock and Freeman would be able to play at the same time.

Freeman has had a run of games at left back, but Wilder always likes left footed / right footed players playing on their ideal sides for balance.
