The most encouraging aspect of this year's signings have been their ages, aside from quality.

Berge 23, Ramsdale 22 & these 2 20 & 23. We are not just filling positions but planning for the future.

In 2019/20 the bottom 5 teams conceded more goals than any team above them. Also last year 6 other teams, including us, scored less goals than teams in the bottom 5. It is very clear how you stay at this level. Mr Wilder has a limited budget and has to date acquired 2 goalkeepers with 2 wingbacks and a CB soon to arrive.

He clearly knows that our best chance of consolidating our position in this league is to stick to our knitting - as business people say. There is a time for business innovation - just not yet.

Magic Days Still to Come

If we can add a 10+ goal a season striker in January or next year, we have one hell of a squad.

Granted, its a highlights reel - but he's doing things in those clips that I know Baldock doesn't do. It's the ownership, the attacking ambitions, the pull backs, the taking men on. I really think Bogle could turn out to be a gem.

Look how Sander operates in that right half spaces, the Spurs goal, the Chelsea assist for McBurnie. Even against Wolves when he crossed for Oli.

If we had that in our wingback too, Berge and Boyle could be very dangerous.
