When we first bought him I said he would end up as a midfielder and got royaly shot down for it, there would be some.merit in playing him in a more advanced role
I called it about 12 months ago. Hes the box to box midfielder we need... I'd have him playing the 'Lundstram' role from PL1...

He's got all the traits needed and the potential to keep getting better.

It must have crossed hecky's mind, he has so much ability especially in the final 3rd, baldock is a steady rb so we can afford to experiment with him in an attacking position

Bogle is a Slav type of player. Winger in his 4-3-3 formations

Also if we kept Khadra and used him effectively and not down the fucking middle then we could of tried 4-3-3 false 9

Khadra left wing
Ndiaye centre forward
Bogle right wing

Under Slav, Bogle looked like he had an electronic tag with a bomb on his ankle, any time he got near the halfway line he put the brakes on and turned around looking for a pass back to our own area as if his life depended on it. Not sure why Jokanovic never tried him as a winger as he was completely stifled at right back.

We don't play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 though, so wing back is the best place for him, striker needs a completely different set of skills that would reduce the impact of what he's good at.

It is an option but only a temporary one. It makes Bogle more of a utility player, but it only proves that George is not great at attacking play.
It could happen. Think back to the desperate measures that PH was forced to use when we had no left sided defenders?
Bogle is part of the jigsaw that frightens the opposition as an attacking full back. Lowe is getting there.
It just needs Berge to wake up, and McBurnie/Brewster to get fit.
Clark/Robinson is a more challenging selection problem when they are both fit. Bogle is just an option if Baldock is fit and Berge/McAtee is not working.

True, but an individual’s suitability to perform
a role is based on their attributes and it’s a cliche to pigeon hole them in one position.

As impressive as Bogle can be at wing back, his ability suggests he could be more effective further up the pitch. I’d like to try accommodating both Bogle and George (when fit) in the same side.
The idea of playing both George and Bogle had crossed my mind too, but whilst I think George is a better defender (just because he has more experience) Bogle offers so much more going forward.
I suppose the key question is who do you leave out to play Bogle further forward.

He might do a job in a 3 playing wide right.

In a 2 you have to play with your back to goal and hold the ball up against weathered championship centre halves. Can’t see him doing that
