hope Boxing Day doesn't turn out same as when we faced Oldham 2012, that was a game changer for the worse

Oldham have only beaten us once in 20 years, the game you mention. But that was self inflicted with Lowton and Maguire getting sent off and the unlucky LJF getting carried off.

They have had a lot of draws in that period though.

Score early and we'll be OK.

There is no such things as 'bogey teams' something that happened in previous football matches has no impact upon matches after.

If I were CW i would be considering dropping Moore for this one and going with an extra striker.
I'd go with an extra midfielder instead... .. if we can get to halftime defending a 0-0 we might be able to sneak a cheeky 1-0 win

And fucking Steve Simonsen caused all 3!!

Forgive my asking but just what is a 'potential' banana skin? Sounds akin to a 'pre-order'.

"Potentially" an action that results in an unforeseen and embarrassing mistake or problem....like the morning after 12 pints of bitter followed by a Vindaloo.

Fuck 'em......self-belief, positive attitudes, and only focused on the present and the game in hand......the past = history = mind magic. If anyone believes the past influences now they're wrong. We haven't suddenly turned into a poor team, so all that should matter is following the manager's instruction and taking the game to our opponents UTMB!

From memory only seen us play them twice: lost 3-1 away and 5-0 at home. Hoping for 7-0 to even up the aggregate score.

Everytime i watched us play oldham we had a habit of getting 2 players sent off. Don`t worry i won`t be there for this `un, and neither will richard blood cresswell. The jinx is lifted.

I went to see the Lincoln City v Oldham second round fa cup tie. The imps dominated the game for 70 minutes with a 3-0 lead. Oldham came good in the last 20 minutes and nearly overturned the score but the imps held on 3-2. Croft looked dangerous for Oldham in those last 20 minutes. Flynn didn't play. From that game I would really expect the blades to win and if Bradford can defeat Scunthorpe at their place we could be joint top before new year's eve. Who would have thought that leaving the lane after that 0-3 display at home to Southend!
