I know more will be able to get to this game, with it being on a Saturday around Christmas (30th December, 15:00 kick off). I'm hopeful we can get a good turnout for this one.

So, just as for the Bristol City game, all you have to do is buy/move your tickets to the target area:

"Redbrik Upper, between seats 104 to 125, as far back as possible"

Simple as that. It's this area here...
index.php

It's in section 'U3' here... https://www.sufc.talent-sport.co.uk...&type=H&productsubtype=&productIsHomeAsAway=N

Season tickets can be moved over the phone or at the ticket office. It's £2 to move from the Kop, free from anywhere else.

Try to sort your tickets out in advance rather than waiting until the week of the game. There are a number of reasons to do this.

And here's the basic info again...

  • Our primary objective is to improve the atmosphere at home games and provide vocal support from the BLUT.
  • We want to do this with a view to establishing a permanent long term base for vocal home support in this area of the ground.
  • We will gather just right of centre, from the back row (W) downwards. Gangway E, seats 104 to 125.
  • The aim is to do this for between 5 to 8 home games this season..
  • This would provide another focal point for home support and finally make proper use of the Upper Tier.
  • COMMITMENT - this is the key. A bit of effort this season could open up good long term possibilities.

Remember, ultimately the aim is long term based, and it has good long term potential. So if we can get a committed core group that would be great.

To anyone thinking about it, maybe waiting for it to take off before joining in, don't do that. Play your part in ensuring it does take off. There's nothing to lose, and every person counts, because it won't take too many to make an impact.

IMPORTANT!

'Gangway E' appears to include the central block too. So just ensure you're between seats 104 to 125, whether your tickets are here or not.

We need to be together in the same area. Look at the below photo. Move here. Gather from the back downwards.

People need to realise how much of a difference they can make, and what long term potential this has. Another 20 up there for the Bristol City game would've made a HUGE difference.

It really is an easy opportunity. Just follow the above and it should be a success.

(A lot of you reading this will be thinking 'he's just repeating himself over and over again' but clearly this is what I have to do)

If anybody's got a flag they're willing to bring into the BLUT, let us know. Any flag will do. We'll use it to mark the area we want people to gather.

I was one of the people who said I'd do I for Bristol and didn't. Absolutely mental at work at the moment and just didn't have the time with everything else going on. I'll have fewer excuses for this one. I think looking at the stands that plenty decided to stay at home / in the pub on Friday as well so that won't have helped your cause.

It's a great idea.

I knew it wasn't a convenient time for the first effort but given the amount of time there was to publicise it I thought that on balance it was the right thing to do to go ahead with it. And I think the numbers just about backed that up. But people didn't go to the same place - if they did I think it would've been successful. So I hope no one uses this as a reason not to go back because it's something so daft, unnecessary and easy to fix.

All it needs is one solid group of about 15-20 people that don't give a fuck and will sing regardless, who are all mates/know each other and consistently go to the same spot every match. That will in turn, with the help of the publicity of it all, encourage more and more others to the same spot and the rest will all fall in to place.

Regardless, it was noticeable, far noisier on there. Will only get louder. Keep at it.

That's the ideal scenario. It's no exaggeration to say 20 can get a whole stand going. It would be a good if we could get a few sizeable groups (5+) of singy chanty football friends. Too many feel uncomfortable if they're not with their mates and/or pissed and too many won't join in if it's not one of their mates starting the chant. Which irritates me.

Ideally we get the loudest fuckers at the back and the semi loud fuckers and kids a bit further forward.

Thanks to everyone who made the effort for Friday's game, and make sure you come back for the Bolton game if you can. I know it didn't go as well as planned but remember it's a long term project and will only get better, and remember that you are needed and will make a difference. We just need to be together in the right place.

Looks like about 20 have already bought/moved their tickets up there for this one. Happy with that.

This game is the one anybody interested in this should make sure they make the effort for. It's a perfect time/game for it and should be the one that really gets it all going. The seeds were scattered last Friday, better organisation this time and it'll be successful.

There should be a flag at the back to mark our area, and there'll be enough space to move into. So there are no excuses.

I'm going to set what should be a very achievable target:

50 of us in the same area.

And that's all it would take to have a big impact. Trust me.

So if there's 5 of you, you'd make up 1/10 of that total. Everybody should realise they have a part to play.

Why are you not doing boxing day game? Big crowd for that game so top tier will be fuller and easier to get things going?

Because I don't trust people to get their tickets in the right place and if they don't they may not be able to move to the target area as many of the seats will already be taken up. That was the theory behind it.

Big away following too which could dilute any noise from BLUT, especially if it wasn't a big group of us.

I expect a decent attendance for the Bolton game too. Certainly much better than Bristol City.

People generally need to understand that it won't be for every game this season. If I tried that we'd never get a big turnout. It'd be too much to ask sadly. It might change as soon as I'm confident we've got a solid core group of about 30 (there I go again, hinting at how few it would take to make an impact, hoping people pay attention and realise I'm right).

But I certainly see where you're coming from. It might help if more people made suggestions.

brownie you up for this lark?
Gets us away from the old moaning brigade

Go on. It's worth a go! Everybody we can get up there will make a difference.

I'm confident we'll get at least 50 and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure they all go to the right place.

Looks like about 15 seats have been taken in our target area today. Hopefully they're 'ours'.

For now, we're going to narrow the target area down a bit, to seats 110-125. Back 5 rows - W down to S.

I've sent this direct message to all Twitter followers so I'll put it on here as well.

Message to all followers - BOLTON GAME:

IMPORTANT BIT: We MUST be in the same place! Aim for the back 5 rows (W down to S), seats 110-125. Try and get your tickets here but as long as you're in BLUT, move here anyway - there should be space and it will basically be unreserved seating. Just go as close to the flag as possible. Sort your tickets ASAP.

We're expecting 50+ to turn up, and in the same area - we'll have a flag to mark the area so there's no excuse for anyone being in the wrong place. It doesn't take huge numbers to get things going up there so remember that you have a big part to play.

The Bolton game is absolutely key. If it's successful the rest should fall into place naturally. If not, we'll have an uphill battle convincing people to move for future games. So if you support this idea, make this the game you make the effort for, above all others.

Now is the best time for this. It's an easy chance and our best chance to really improve our support. Let's not waste it.

Keep monitoring the Twitter page, especially in the days before the game.

Well it looks like the club have kindly wiped out half the tickets available in our target area.

I did warn of this possibility when encouraging people to sort tickets ASAP.

Seats 118-125 are now unavailable from top to bottom. These tickets haven't simply been sold. The club have obviously done something with them.

Great to see them supporting this idea.

Hopefully it's full of tourists and students up there for the Bolton game, eh.

But rest assured this is going ahead for Bolton. There'll still be plenty of space up there. I've seen this before. They give a shitload of tickets away in certain areas yet when it comes to matchday the area is empty.

It just means we have to tweak our target area again:

Ask for tickets between seats 104 to 117, back few rows.

Because thanks to the club these are now the only seats available up there.
