Our style of play reminds me of League 1 days before CW took over. There's very little flowing football, no running onto passes and most receiving the ball have to stop and then move. There's too much sideways and back passing and by the time the ball is put into the area, the defenders are always well set.

We just have to accept we're not good enough and it doesn't help to repeatedly lose vital players, both through injury and mysterious lack of form in the case of Norwood. Personally I don't think Lundstram should be the scapegoat.

Law of averages probably says that just lumping it into the box on sight will concede possession much more often than "fannying abaht" and create less chances as a result, but hey, we all need to vent after that

We have done this for over a year. It’s infuriating and loses us games, week in week out. So why the fck doesn’t Wilder change it?

They way we played baffled me. That was a game to go out with dynamism, heart and energy. We now have to throw everything at the opposing defence like we're on some kind of kamikaze mission. We have to pretty much win every game bar the handful against the few top teams - and no I'm not counting West Ham as one of those teams. Had we lost 3-0 after really going for it, then fair enough, but we were playing as if we'd already secured a mid-table finish.

yeah hate saying it but the manager dictates the way we play you cant just keep blaming the players chris wilder has really suprised me this season with his stubborness the lundstram situation and tactics which he just hasnt addressed

I agree that lumping it into the box is pointless, but I dont think that's what the OP was saying, because I've been so frustrated this season when we have an overlap on the wing, we have striker in the box, we have midfielders on the penalty spot, and we play it back we then play it to Norwood etc who will then play it to the opposite wing, and then repeat. That's the main difference between this season and last in that basham or joc got in those positions and they crossed, its drove me to despair this season

I can't quite believe how utterly gash we are with shots at goal - they're all powder-puff and rarely on target. I'm frankly fucking sick to the back teeth of seeing 20-25 yard efforts float aimlessly 5 yards+ over the bar. You see better attempts at goal in League 1 - what the fuck is wrong with them? what the hell do we do in training ? (other than play tippy tappy by the corner flag).

I'm pissed off.

I think it is unfair to only scapegoat players.
