Due to circumstances entirely out of my control* this pod is coming in a little later than normal and with a slightly different format, BUT! I give my thoughts on the game, as well as some fan reviews, and then Jay aka Blades Analytics joins me to take a deeper dive into the effect of Madine starting, the curious absence of Mark Duffy, an overly-cautious attitude, and a preview the Rotherham game:

I like the double dose of the the theme music that's been happening in the last few episodes.

Not sure why but the music reminds me of MFC by Pearl Jam too.

Will listen to this later anyway. Im sure it'll be a great listen as usual.

Agree about feeling uncomfortable with the idea of Wilder being cautious.

Ah it's not exactly a thrilling tale - basically I started the recording with Jay, couldn't hear him so had to tweak the settings so that audio was coming through my headphones, and in doing so stopped HIS side of the audio from actually recording. Needless to say, not a great feeling when I realised - akin to doing several hours of work on a computer and then it crashing and you realise you never saved it... Oh well, it's been a long week and I'm still very amateur at this as you can see! Live and learn!

Can understand the extra bit of caution from Wilder,would have been great to win but vital we didn't lose ,momentum is a big thing and we do still have the bragging rights.
We are getting better at game management which will be vital to get over the line

This feels like quite apt for reviewing a game in which we made some tweaks to maximise our chances to win, only to result in us being unable to play any football.
