I’ve just looked at it again and he’s changed the angle of the ball so it’s hand ball, before the season started if all clubs knew about the rules there can’t be any bellyaching over it.

If that were Rugby it would have been a knock on, definite hand ball.

If his hand isn't there, that's getting caught by Wilder in the technical area. Clearly controlled the ball with his hand.

It's different if it just takes a knick on the way through, but that's clearly the only reason he had the ball after the header.

Egan made 3 howlers tonight, lucky we got away with it.

What was that "slip" about, saw him kick it (well, miskick it) and then he flopped about like a trout in a keepnet.

And another header where he's too far forward, same as Watford.

Needs to refocus a bit I think, hopefully tonight's a bit of a reminder of the level of concentration required.

The fucking pitch! How much did we wet that thing tonight, it was like an ice rink.

He's turned into Carter vickers.

Rice saying he didn`t deliberately handle it, well no but you gained an attacking advantage from it you prick. While i`m on the subject of Rice, I watched him tonight as I thought beforehand how does he get in the England team. Well he doesn`t tackle, doesn`t head the ball, passes mostly short sideways or backwards and (the run for the "goal" apart) just jogs around, I could have done his job tonight and I`m fucking 55.

West Ham still thinking the rules don’t apply to them.

I’d be very worried if I was a Hammer appointing a manager who doesn’t know the rules. I don’t know what Rice’s excuse is, he’s been playing with these rules all season.

Absolutely no need to criticise VAR or claim an unfair or unjust decision in this instance. It very clearly touched his hand, and the rule is now that is given handball if it leads to a goal. Sore losers and nothing else. If the ref had given it they wouldn’t have complained, nor would Wilder have had to feign sympathy.

I would understand their upset had if it had been yet another daft armpit offside but every handball this season (apart from ours against Soton ) has usually gone to VAR and ruled the goal out.
