Dear oh dear....now I see why the Swindon fans are so pissed off.

What the fuck was their keeper doing.

Well it's not very often we are gifted goals like that so makes a pleasant change. What's more an issue is us not taking the many very good chances we create according to Wilder.
Shooting practice still needed.

Swindon goalie's dad int stands after goal no.3...

I don't often have any sympathy for opposition fans but seeing that, and apparently it's not a one off, you think ...there but for the grace of God. (Wilder)

just seen the goals, we were gifted two goals tonight, I did like Lavery's assist for Freeman's goal though.

Two decent strikes from them for their goals however where was the attempts at closing down?

If you look at their goals, the defence remains compact until they have to close down. They can't just run off and close the ball when they have a player behind them. They would all need to run out together to keep the line and that is impossible.
Defenders are taught from a very young age to slow the player down in those situations and hope the midfield get back in. Our midfield wasn't anywhere to be seen, so the moment they get to the edge of their own box they will look to close the ball, as that is the time the space behind is limited for the pass. They will gamble that a player will be able to score from there 1 maybe 2 in every ten.
Today they scored, most the time it will miss or be saved.

Our 3rd was criminal from their keeper, especially at 2-2. I think the keepers only a young lad, 18 years old or sumat, difficult for him if he's been told to fanny about with it at the back.

Just pissed myself watching that 3rd goal :D

we got out of jail big time! A little disappointed with Chris Wilders comments after the game, first half we were good, as he said, but second half we sounded poor, and lucky to win the game really. Him and the coaches really have to get us working on defending. And I mean the whole team.

Not lucky at all.

Long time since I saw us do something similar. ;) Was it Yeovil at the Lane? The result is what matters - got to get out of this division. Not surprising there are nerves after our recent history. One game at a time, focus, worry about winning our matches and sod the others. We are getting closer but we aren't there quite yet.

Nice to see us get those breaks for the first and third goals and Carruthers' knack of winning penalties is going to be useful. However, Moore has to be held at least partially responsible for those goals; particularly the first. He's fine well since joining but decent hits at head height go in too frequently for me, I can see why he's never been a regular at championship level so I'd not be surprised if we were after a new no1 in the summer.

I think that is vey harsh on Moore.

We can't tell from the footage the trajectory, pace, swerve of the ball....or his view.
To me, both were very good strikes, the second was very sweetly struck and flew past him along the floor.

No fault for me. Only fault there, which it doesn't show, is why they had players breaking with the ball towards our back line. I can only assume someone lost possession in a poor position.

Bit unfortunate to concede both those goals, usually neither of them would've gone in. Midfield non existent though.

There must have been at least 20 passes before it got to Lavery. Liquid football

Probably the best team goal I've seen us score in years. Beautiful to watch. Brilliant build-up with crisp patient passing, some slick skill, with our lethal right-wingback somehow ghosting in to smash home at the near-post. Class.

From a team perspective, it was good to see us score, yet Sharp didn't. Of course he would have taken the pen if he was on the pitch - bet he is gutted about that!

yes that's a positive, others scoring apart from sharp for a change
