Thought we looked good based on that at least, with Brewster and McBurnie with some decent moves.

Brewster appears able to shoot harder than anyone I've ever seen. That penalty was a bit mental, he got unlucky.

Good anticipation by Southampton keeper on Brewster's pen. Took a step to his right just before he struck it and was able to get to it. It was well hit tbf.

Looked pretty unlucky there. Both goals were nice. With Brewster and McBurnie playing in some decent positions. Far from the disaster scenario our bizarre abdab brigade were trying to make out. Take the big positives and carry on our good form into the next. UTB.

Didn't see the game but sounds like we did a lot right tonight and there were many positives. Our reserves matched (or at least gave a very good account of themselves) against a PL club reserve side. We did well.

Drew the game and only lost on a lottery. To me it's about the performance of the team and the players tonight (and getting a competitive game into the legs of the 2nd string). Remember most of those lads will never be on regular penalty duties for Utd do it really doesn't matter if they miss in a shootout. I'm more brassed off when our regular pen taker misses but luckily it didn't matter on Saturday away at Hull.

Well done to them all tonight. Decent effort that.
