Just realised looking back at the highlights that it's Unitedite David Mirfin that ends up on his arse nowhere near Sharp for the equaliser in front of the Kop. Thought he might have played for us at one point – particularly in League 1 when we've needed centre-halves every season since Maguire left. Has he actually ever been remotely close to signing for us?

Mirfin is a good friend of a Wendy fan at my work. Yes Mirfin is a Blades fan

It's only eight years since Scunthorpe were one of our main rivals. Good to see them coming back after some difficult times. Their crowd of over 8000 on Saturday against Chester was the highest crowd ever in the National League North. They are top of the league and looking at a return to the fifth team. Hopefully they'll be back in the football league soon, as long as they don't become our rivals again!

They beat us 0-4 in a game that was totally one sided, the only problem being we were the ones absolutely dominating, somehow didn’t score and they took their chances.

Highlights still knocking about:

Isn't that when Duffy ripped us to shreds?

It is a good reminder.

Remember when we couldn't beat stevenage at home to virtually guarantee promotion against the pigs?

Nothing's won this season yet for all our talk on this forum about what it might be like, if (capital if) we get promoted.

These are the good times.

8 games ro go, all to play for.
