That's what happens when you only have one defender and a bunch of clowns making up the numbers.
*Awaits idiotic comments about how the defence has "gotten us to the top of the table".
Plenty of idiots on here banging on about how we're going to win the Championship next season
Yeah ,name onePlenty of idiots on here banging on about how we're going to win the Championship next season, I've never heard such tosh in my life. You only need to look through those highlights, and the fact we'll possibly win this league with one of the lowest points hauls in recent years, to realise that it's going to be a hell of a step-up in standard if we do go up. Several new defenders required.
Poor goals, but these things happen over a season, defended well in the main.
Freeman poor for the first, again. He ball watched for Scunthorpes goal at the Lane.
Basham should have headed it out before the second.
Third was sloppy all round.
Got away with it, the point was a good one.
He was onside, lino perfectly positioned.I don't think Freeman was ball watching, I think he was trying to play their man offside and from the image that's been posted it shows it would've worked if the linesman had been up with play. Not using the offside as an excuse because we still should've done better at stopping the cross
He was onside, lino perfectly positioned.
Freeman ball watched, then stuck his arm up.
Poor from him on the second too, allowed Lund to get ahead of him.
Freeman stays in line with the rest of the defence like they do on the training ground, if the official did his job right then we would be saying what a great defensive line it was, which it was. The player was way offside because it flicked off the player in the middle of the box as the cross comes in, if it didn't get a flick of their player we would've probably cleared the ball. The image of the first goal is taken when the ball is close to the goalscorer, quite some time after leaving the crosser's foot.
If the other Rochdale player got a touch on it before Davies, it was offside. If it went to Davies directly from the cross, it might have been onside.
Either way, Freeman should have been goal side of him. Why take the risk?
He was comfortably offside. He was onside, lino perfectly positioned.

Laffertys' strike was unbelievable but his defending was a bit to be desired. He doesn't do enough to stop crosses or players drifting past him, he defends like he starts the game on a booking, very cautiously.
I was bang in line with it at the game and i'm adamant that the player touched it as the cross came in and that he was way offside otherwise I wouldn't have commented. You know what they do on the training ground?
It was offside if the other player got a touch, but I don't see how you can be sure from watching it.
If Davies was in an onside position when the cross was struck then Freeman made the wrong decision. If Davies was in a marginally offside position when the cross was struck Freeman made the wrong decision - it's a dangerous game to rely on officials like that, especially in this league. He would've only been right to do what he did if he was comfortably offside when the cross was struck, and no footage seems to show whether he was or not.
I've never heard such tosh in my life.
Our whole teamwork out of possession was poor yesterday and the defensive shape was really poor , especially with crosses.
I am confident that CW will have read the Riot Act to the team last night.
No point getting promoted if you're going to defend like that.
Third goal FFS ! Total shambles from start to finish.
Great move by Rochdale ? Fuck off ! We had 3 players running along together looking at each other instead of the Dale attackers - me and my mates , all 60 years old , could have put that move together in the space Dale were gifted.
Are you sure you are a keen Blade, Keen Blade?
You do a decent impression of a knee-jerking moaner.
Lafferty on the other hand was for the most part shocking defensively but because he scored a wonder goal it gets forgotten.
The goal was comfortably onside, our defenders were switched off and static. You know what they do on the training ground?

It might have been half hearted although i personally didnt think it was at the time but they appealed as soon as they knew it flicked off the player in the box. They knew the decision wouldn't get overturned because the refs decision is final and there was no point carrying on the claim as we were still comfortable and leading at the time. This always factors into claiming for something, if that goal would've made the game 3-2 to Rochdale the claims would have been a lot different and carried on a lot longer, from my experiences anyway. The goal was comfortably onside, our defenders were switched off and static.
I was sat bang in line. Even the appeals from the players were half hearted, they knew they'd ballsed up.
