Was never a penalty, Stearman had cover behind him to clear the ball, no chance their guy was getting to it after knocking it past. Cracking finish from for the third and a worldie by Duffy. The first goal was all thanks to an awesome cross from Leon. All-in-all, its the reaction we were looking for after Friday night

Apparently they were expecting us to give them the ball back from a throw in after one of their players feigned injury.

I knew the Don had a bit of pace about him, but that last highlight where he knocked it forward 5 yards to chase it made him look like an Olympic sprinter! Got quite the turn of pace.

I’m adding nothing new to this thread but I am still livid about that penalty decision. But for a great save, our season could have turned on that shocker.

Going to go against everyone here. He throws his arm across the players throat to impede him - foul and penalty. No need to do it, he wouldn’t have got past him. It’s a common defensive tactic you’ll often get away with but a foul if seen and the ref is directly in line.

No problem Moore saved and comfortable win for the Blades.

Three nice goals tonight and a good save from the spot kick (justice done) Moore at fault for their goal, why do keepers today knock the ball back where it comes from we were always taught to help anything coming at you at pace out for a corner? Same could be said for our first goal too, palm it out for a corner the attacker don't get any rebounds when it's out of play.

Thing is we had a couple of similar ones in the first half that we defender where O’Connell and Basham shielded the ball out, Basham in particular had an arm higher than was wise, but the ref was happy with both incidents. This one with Stearman was very similar – it’s possible it was in response to someone having a word with the ref in the break.

All we want is for refs to be consistent but they never are.

He was unlucky and Knill said we should have probably had 3 goals in the first 20mins.

That first goal sums up Billy Sharp as a player and as a captain.

His movement off the ball and speed of thought as Clarke prepares to cross are outstanding. He outmuscles the defender as it comes over and simply wants it more than him - sheer determination.

And his first thought after he’s put it in is to make his way over to Clarke, a team mate currently low on confidence and who had already missed a couple of great chances, to acknowledge his contribution.
