Defender got the ball, looked like a nailed on pen from the stand

Either way, stupid decision to slide in when the ball was going away from the goal.

I didn't think it was a pen at the time but once I watched it back then it is certainly a penalty.

I think Evans should have a penalty as well.

Just been watching highlights of FA Cup ties Cardiff v Man City and Chelsea v Newcastle. It is so noticeable comparing the speed of their attacks with ours. Looking at the high lights of our game we are so slow that when the ball is crossed there are probably 7 or 8 PNE defenders in the box making it very difficult for our attackers to have a chance to score. Looking at the other two games Man City and Chelsea are so quick that the other defence is not there in numbers. I know they are chalk and cheese from us but we definitely lack speed of thought, movement and pace. It was noticeable v PNE the only player we had with real pace seemed to be Baldock (although to be fair the Don is no slouch). We were better at this earlier in the season and hopefully with the new players will get better again.

I have been saying that for a while now and it has stopped us winning against teams like Birmingham where if we had attacked them on the break better we would have won.

That said the PNE game was not the best example of this flaw in our play as both teams didn't look too fussed about winning the match.

To put it in perspective, Kyle Walker's left leg cost more than our team put together. Comparing us to the runaway leaders of the Premier League (or any other Prem team) is nonsensical. We are what we are. I'm sure that when we are promoted changes will be made (well hopefully)
