Jesus. That looks like a complete performance, doesn't it?

EEL dusting off their number five, then creating merry nonsense for the second, us shooting them down on the break for the third and David Platt showing on the back stick for number four.

And four disallowed.

Vale must be feeling sick. Tough shit.

Quick question; do "shots on target" include the disallowed goals? We scored 8, Chapman had one on Target that the keeper tipped over, that's 9, think we had a few more?

Great win :)

Port Vale looked shocking though...slack marking on set pieces and statuesque and the space for the 3rd goal was wider than the Somme battlefield!!

Did Billy think that his header had found its way into the net for the 4th goal? :D

None of the disallowed goals are in the live text so they are probably not in the stats either

cheers, so a ball tipped over is "on target", but a ball that beats the keeper and is disallowed is not? Didn't know that.

Well if a goal is disallowed that's because some sort of offence (off side, or whatever) occurred before the ball crossed the line. That means when the ball crossed the line the ball was actually dead, so no disallowed goal would ever be included in stats as a shot or as anything else.

It is a shame the YouTube highlights only show one of the offside goals.

Does anyone else find it annoying that not only do the highlights not show 3 of the disallowed goals, and none of them on the Sky highlights, but also the BBC and Sky match reports make no mention of the fact that we had the ball in the net another 4 times, yet find room to mention that Vale had a shot blocked and another saved (the sum total of their 'attacks').
