Was a short one today, brief paraphrased summary of the main points below, hopefuilly I didn't miss owt. This was from the live one, probably won't be on the club website for a while now till they release the video.

Hoever

-was a target last season, we tracked him
-played in PL but knows the Champ well
-it's a tap in for us, he's a good age, attacking full back, perfect profile

Bamford

-I'm out of it at the moment but would like to get it wrapped up
-he's scored goals in his 10 games and doesn't "owe us"
-no criticism if he does go elsewhere

Outgoings etc

-FAC3 and AFCON timing is not ideal as PL clubs will be using players they might not otherwise as a result
-sure it will ramp up next week

Mansfield

-it won't be an "experimental" side we put out
-we know the pitfalls
-we want to have a good cup run
-used to ring Cloughie in early management days at Halifax etc and he was always available to give advice, top guy, "headscratching" decision by SUFC to sack him

Peck

-won't be involved but the good thing is we had everybody training today
-Peck,Ogbene and Shackleton only ones not available

Oxford

-heating broke down overnight
-not a great look for the club
-mini investigation internally
-we definitely wanted to play no "dark arts" involved

Thanks for that I’m always pleased when someone does a summary.

Obviously summaries don’t show Wilders body language or any emphasis he might give things but it looks from that as if Bamford might be on his way out. Really hope not and still hoping for a late decision to sign again.

He said summat on the lines "he wants it done and I want it done but I understand that the club and Pat's agents need to get the right deal". So it sounds to me like he would like to be here but the deal has to be right. Also said summat about would be nice to get him whether it's to the end of the season or a "little bit longer", so if it's a longer contract than that he's after I could see that being maybe what's taking the time to resolve.

That's probably what it is about with him being 32 he is at that awkward age of how many seasons do you have left. But on the flip side we have been splurging contracts to players that probably haven't deserved it without too much care such as McGuinness and Chong so you would like to think we can be a bit flexible but then I guess it depends on how much he is actually wanting, I would rather let him go if it meant that the club was able to pay their wages than tie someone down just because and then find us in a situation like under Hecky where we were close to financial ruin.

Your last sentence makes it sound like Hecky was responsible for the 'financial ruin'.

Yeah re-reading that back, that wasn't the intention! - Hecky saved us from it from the FA Cup and getting us promoted that season, if anything he did us the biggest favour but then was royally shafted in true blades style

I wish we still had Hecky
He’s leading us a dance at PNE

And Wrexham leading us a dance now.

What has happened to my club?

Some Yankee chancers booted out a bloke who nearly got us up, and appointed a charlatan.

Aforesaid bloke has steadied the ship, but basically this season is a right off, thanks to rank arrogance at the top.

Do keep up at the back there!

McGuinness isn't as bad as Chong. And Chong himself has plenty of support here.

Remind me how bringing in a wonderful new modern manager, worked out for us?
Ironically, appointing Selles might turn out to be one of the best decisions the board made because they now know the scale of the job and exactly what needs doing when Wilder is eventually replaced, whether it's one or five years from now.

And they also know they need to do some feckin interviews next time 😂

It'll be interesting to see how Rosenior pans our at CFC, given he was linked with us not that long ago. Love his media work so far

From what I read Bamford (or his agent) wants 18 month contract but COH are offering 6 month with 12 month extension. FFS both ways add up to 18 months just get it done.
