He was right about everything else in the interview though. Our decision make in the final third was poor and baffling. We won the ball back and then just kept giving it back to them.

It was an honest interview in that perspective, he didn’t really beat around the bush.

The first comment, however, soured my mood. Complete opposite of last seasons outlook. What on Earth is going on.

Yeah the toe to toe comment was a bit odd. We got in teams faces last season regardless of who they were and played with no fear.
 
Anyone thinking our players are as good as Man City's and can go toe to toe with them are sadly deluded. I don't mind us keeping a solid shape against these teams but today we were not aggressive in doing it like we were last season.
 



In a sense, he's right, you can't go like for like against City (I think that's what he was trying to say). Doesn't mean you basically spend your time on the touchline praying they don't score.

Yes, the players are making bad decisions. That have generally been doing that since lockdown though. He picks the team though and I've seen little or no change since this slump began. He has to take some responsibility for this. It's not just the players. We been poor for a while and largely setting up the same way every single game.

He needs to do something to help us out of the slump. Not just sending players to psychologists.
 
Thats the most vocal about poor player performances ive seen this season.

Hes been much more reserved this season than last. I imagine he has his reasons, but thought today was open and honest.
 
There’s not going toe to toe, then there’s playing like a conference team v a PL team in an FA cup match for the first 20 minutes. A bunch of cloggers with the likes of Tom Pope up front would be a scarier prospect than us prior to their goal today.

After the goal we were alright but as Wilder said, made some bizarre decisions.
 
We only narrowly lost and we need to be more clinical in front of goal. We'll break the spell next game. COYRAWW! ⚔️
