I don't think I've ever seen fans walk out so early in a game - after the second goal. I don't think they were just going for a pee

Leicestershire Constabulory stopping the traffic on the M1 put paid to me seeing them live.

Annoyingly I was at the ground for both too.

I think the earliest I've seen was when I turned up 15 late to THAT Southend game

September 1973 I booked a driving lesson on the evening of us playing Arsenal at the Lane. Times overlapped.

I fifnished the lesson early got dropped off on Cherry / Shoreham Street corner but still missed the first two goals as we smashed the Gunners 5-0.

New Year's day 1955 when we beat Newcastle 6-2. We scored in the first 8 minutes of the Newcastle match. My dad and Uncle mick 's dad missed all the 4 goals cos they got in the ground 10 mins after the kick off. When my dad asked for the score as soon as they got in the ground it took quite a few spectators to convince them that we were winning 4-0.
