To compete at this level, every player has to play to the best they can play. Any standard less....we lose. Chelsea weren't at their best, yet won fairly handily. Getting them to do that is a combination of management and players at the peak of their game.

McB was not at it today, maybe the fear of the rash challenge is on his mind, McAtee was no where near his best. Lowe ran out of puff early, probably due to game time. Management should have recognized they were not "clicking" and yanked them earlier in the case of McB and at some point in the game with the other two.

Wilder was supposed to be wiser this time around but again his substitutions were poor.

It was an all around team performance and one to not let happen again. Except we play Villa next.

You are right to highlight players not reaching their potential, but I believe Wider underestimated Pochetino.
Chelsea had a poor first half and it’s up to Wilder to anticipate the oppositions reaction to that. Even if it means turning up the blades volume in the second half!

He didn’t do that but we obviously lacked the kind of players that Chelsea had on the bench.
