Another day looks like we might have had 2/3 goals. Fleck unlucky and keeper with a couple of good saves from Lavery. But we were hanging on towards the end by the sound of it, did brilliantly not to concede from that goal-mouth scramble. 3 points would have been great, but still feels more like a point gained than 2 dropped.

You know how we berate people in weirdo's view from threads for referring to us as Sheffield?

+1 to s4, think he could have taken a touch there and slotted home easily

Fleck's was a great effort. He wasn't unlucky, though. You have to hit the space between the posts.

Spot on. You don't aim for the fucking post and hitting the thing is as much use as putting it out for a throw in. A miss is a miss is a miss.

Their keeper made two very good saves there, O shea snatched at his chance after good work from Lavery and pulled it. He had time to take a touch and place it. Fleck hits one and an inch or two to the left it hits the post and goes in.
If any of those go for us then the game will have been over, we would have controlled the rest of the game.

Never mind, take the point happy that it wasn't lucky, we weren't outplayed and deserved at least that point.

Bring on a Scunny against our strongest side hopefully.

Looking back on last night, it was a thoroughly enjoying 0-0 draw. We were more cultured, they were more direct, and the contrast in styles made for an entertaining game, with plenty of goalmouth incidents at both ends. A friendly little ground with excellent pasties and a queue of about three people at half-time made this an all-round good night out. Both our games against Bristol Rovers this season have been similar, but it's a shame for them they had to sell Taylor as a) he might well have made the difference last night and b) they could have reached the playoffs with him, probably not without.

Thanks for posting Bladesman. Third successive clean sheet, seven points from nine including 2 potentially tricky away fixtures - a great response to the 3 poor results

There was one save from Lavery that looked every bit a handball from a defender too.

Yeh i would have liked to have seen that again, lots of appeals from folks around us at the time, but happened a bit too quick for my ageing eyes to be able to tell.

*edit, it was a blaytant handball and a red yes, shocking!

Aaah. Didn't see that, still dived though :)

He wasnt offside for the dive, he was offside for the disallowed goal. Unless he was offside for both?

But yes, should have been booked for a shocking dive.

Quality save from Moore at the end of the hoghlights. Looks like he saw it late and a quick reaction.

Not sure how their disallowed goal wasn't deemed a highlight.
Their goalie should have been, with his wild celebrations in front of the seated stand that was 50/50 split Blades & Brizzle fans. As he had his back to the ref & their net it must have been a good 2/3 mins before he realised the goal had been ruled out haha. Bet he felt like a proper melt
