Carruthers did exactly what I have been banging on about for a while, he ran into the box and caused panic, which led to a penalty. Too often our midfield trio (as good as they are) stop just outside the box and look for the pass, if you run straight in (with no other obvious better option of course), you will cause problems.

Also have to say once again, Hanson had a great game, always had two of their lads on him, didn't shy away, deserved the ovation when he went off.

Finally, and I know we often talk about our more "eccentric" fans, but the bloke who sits somewhere behind me (not sure where, on G Block), who continually shouts "fuck off Coutts", will you please pack it in!

Really is a marvellous break for the opener – Fleck cleverly picks out Duffy, who in turn takes out two with a tidy pass inside back to Fleck (having stormed up the pitch after his initial pass). The clinical finish from Sharp was perfect. It's a superb goal.

Fleck's movement for the first goal is brilliant. Passes the ball out to Duffy from the edge of our box and then has the desire to get forward for the return ball

It was a very good goal. We sliced them open with 3 clever passes and moved from one end of the pitch to the other very quickly and cleanly. No surprise Fleck was at the heart of it. Very good finish as well btw, composed and accurate.

Agreed. Once you let the opposition into the 18 yd box, it has to be a tackle. We have lacked the ability over the past few seasons to put defences under pressure in the box.

It's what happens to sides when we get the ball down and play. You can see the difference in standard between Botlon and Scunthorpe and the rest of the sides we've face this season, and yet we absolutely outclassed them when we got on top of our game. Wilder's assessment spot on as usual.

It's a real joy to read that and know it's true. That's what Sheffield United are about for me. Not the eternal upanatem underdogs.
