Just seen the extended highlights and has anyone noticed the arsenal winner, fleck was taken out by the number 11, so he cant get back to defend his side, looked dodgy to me
I've seen a few saying it was a foul but if you slow it right down he barely touches him. The Arsenal player is running and his arms are by his side there is no push. Any clash is accidental and not even sure Fleck was goalside. I think he was completely knackered at this point and went down under sheer desperation. I was surprised a lot were saying it was an obvious foul when to me it was barely anything and Fleck looked like he just did not fancy running back - which compounded his initial mistake. Still he gave a foul on Egan for nothing a few minutes before (complete dive as bad as Lacazette's and under much less contact then the penalty - we then went down and led to our goal) so I had no idea what the ref was giving.
All the talk about how biased he was forgets the odd decisions we got for no contact like above, the one on Baldock where he dive and then Mcurnie shoves someone out of play blatantly and no foul. Of course outside the penalty which was more contact than most others despite the theatrics, we had some pathetic dives from Tierney (the player) and a few others and the Fleck foul at the end was ridiculous he gave to them. He waved a few away for both too where more contact was made (Fleck took someone out on the edge of the box near the end and he played on - Mcburnie got onbstructed to me when the two players clashed).
It was bad decision after bad decision and no idea what he would see as excessive contact but not sure he was so one sided loads make out. I watched back and there as many poor fouls to them as us. Also the two worst fouls of the game were outs - Fleck and Lundstram rightly booked for really cynical fouls.
It does not fit the narrative though to say we got a goal as a result of a poor decision in the build up - many fans forget this and just see the other way.
