I think Stoke and West Brom will both be pretty strong. Parachute payments. Rowett teams generally compete at the right end of a division. Moore made an excellent impression during his short caretaker stint and they don't have a bad squad if they can keep most of it together. Players like Foster, Phillips etc. will be very good for this level. Swansea more unpredictable but Potters record abroad is excellent. Time will tell how it translates to championship football.

I think Villa will drop off due to the financial worries but expect Pulis' boro team to be up there competing. Think Adkins will get Hull into the top half and pushing for the playoffs. Brentford, Preston and Millwall could have decent seasons again. Derby very much an unknown with Lampard. I'm not convinced it'll work out for them. I don't think Bristol will be up there again either.

Bruce will be off at villa cause the moneys gone, they are in a mess and unless they change hands again which is “likely” as they are a big club, they’ll be selling off to survive.. licking the wounds for a few seasons like we did ?..

Derby with Lampard will possibly become Chelsea reserves, who knows what they’ll do.. squad was ok but could be unrest... new broom “etc” £ issues just like porkys when the new players arrive, John Terry anyone ?

Wigan will have thier tails up, so I hope we don’t get them early on if they carry on with league one form like we did.. not a pushover by any stretch..

Rotherham easy 6 points.

Wendy, just like forest gumps chocolates, you don’t know what your gonna get..

However, three great teams who were quality have gone, Cardiff had built well, wolves and fulham were premiership quality teams... the three coming down won’t be as ready for this league as them three were.. so no change there then and we will see who fancies the buying their way out opinion in the transfer window a-la Wolves..

As for us we will sign Kieffer Moore as a gamechanging player from Barnsley, get coutts back to which the board will proclaim “its like having a new midfielder” therefore saving them money they don’t have anyway, and we will get by on what wilder prizes out of thier hands after the sale of brooks...

If I can have one wish, please wilder, promote Tyler Smith to the first team..

But Sunderland and Hull were proper crap. I don't see it this year with the relegated 3; WBA smack in their comfort zone doing what they always do, Swansea could easily have got out of relegation and have some top quality forwards and Stoke, weakest of the 3 (imo) have quality (although aging) all over the pitch.
west brom and stoke annd swansea were proper crap , they had ageing players who didnt score
thats why they were relegated , not because they are as you put it top quality , if they were theyd still be up there

Sunderland showed last season coming the prem doesnt automatically mean you will compete
Last seasons relegated trio struggled big time. The championship has 10 12 teams that can compete or be better on the day than the relegated clubs as they have been building for this assault
of the last 6 relegated from the prem only Newcastle have gone up so why everyone thinks they are shoe ins to be up there is based purely on parchute payments as obviously all got relegated because they werent very good on the grass
this ^^

Stoke have shit loads of money to strengthen as well due to being owned by Bet365. Wouldn't be surprised if they try the trick of bidding for every champ teams best players

Will part 4 conclude that there's no reason why we can't win the league? ;)

We shall see.

Stan, you need to let me know some decent old boozers that serve good beer, usually Preston is fine for that, but last time we played you (apart from losing 1-0) I struggled to find a decent pint. Me and Mrs Grappler tend to stay over for the night, so a few ales will be on the cards.

Last time there I went in The Black Horse, Guild Ale House, Stanley Arms, Twelve Travellers and Grey Friar, thanks in advance! :D

Visiting that lot should have passed an hour on
