Interestingly.....when we have had a player we all wanted shut of like Hammond, the club and certain employees of the club were slaughtered for it!
Yet here we are in a position where certain appearance numbers trigger a new contract and I for one am pretty pleased about that.
Coutts...Bash, Freeman to name a few have all proven their worth. Without these contract clauses they hold all the cards....yet as it stands we already have them tied to a new deal that we are already aware of and prepared for financially.

I don't know mate ...... but I suppose that it depends upon the actual contract clause doesn't it ?

Is it structured in the Club's favour, or ( like the Hammond debacle ) is it un-realistic ?

The Hammond deal got slaughtered because it was his option and not the club's. If any of our current crop have that option it's a fucking joke, even for the ones I want to stay. Who does business that way?
