Few nitpicks for me when comparing then and now Beans Roygbiv:

Derek Geary was definitely our first choice rb (might have him above Baldock, think he would've made a really good wing back, it would be close)
Jags 100% above Bash - he was ALWAYS a defender in my mind at least, only Warnock thought otherwise!

(I appreciate you were trying to compare from this stage of the season, but might as well just compare the whole squad, I still think you get the same answers anyway)

I agree with the Jags for Basham switch.
It's so hard to compare to the two teams though. The Warnock team was almost designed with the intention of stopping the opposition playing (hence how effective Monty proved to be in the Prem), the Wilder team go out with the intention of out-playing the opposition (and it's an absolute joy).

My only change in the CW 11 v NW 11 would be Geary for Baldock. But that's only because Geary is my favourite ever Utd player and an absolute fucking hero of mine. (I just love a RB) Other than that i have no qualms about the other 10 players.

Great pod - one of the best yet. Loved the team comparisons between the 06-07 and now teams.

The bit about Roy unzipping his jacket everytime where was a corner made me lol as the kids say.

I know you were comparing the first 11 in the pod but if you move into the squad I'd rather have Hulse than McBurnie as the 'big man', I'd rather have Stead than Clarke and also Geary would be better than Osborne as a utility wing back. I'd have Monty instead of Besic (tin hat on).

Of the first team I would possibly swap Basham for Jags but it would depend on how wistful I was being at the time. Jags as a youngster coming through the ranks vs Basham as a L1 player completely written off and then turned into a club legend. Hard to choose. They both have a mistake in them and Basham plays his role so well so it's a close battle.

Geary is nowhere near as good as Baldock.

I've just moved into the spare room and had some Enda Stevens wallpaper custom made, next purchase is a huge box of tissues. We'd better not sell him in January or I'll be suing the club.

Legitimately asked my Dad to write to his genealogy mad aunt a couple of weeks ago and see if I've got any Irish heritage.

I really want an Ireland shirt with Egan or Stevens on it but I feel like I need to have a claim haha
