I like it just the way it is. It's a million miles away from the tippy tappy, no shots on goal, going nowhere rubbish that you favour - thank goodness.

What you don't like, of course, is that it's an infinite number of miles from the DD Hoof and Hope that you hold so dear...

Used to get my back up when some arseholes would come on here having a pop at the fans

It's plain to see now that the fans were never the problem and in fact should have been recognised as being amongst the most loyal and supportive in the universe

Bladey bollocks.

Meant at our level.

The skilful players don't have the right attitude and effort
Where as players that work really hard don't tend to have the skill.

Well it's all relative, of course, but it's a myth that you can't "football" your way out of the lower leagues. Bournemouth, Norwich, Tufty's Northampton, to name but a few that come to mind immediately.

We've said for years that all we need to see is players giving 100%, go behind and we need to have a pop and go at them to get back, get in front and go for another, it's not hard, what we've had since Warnock is managers overthinking stuff and protecting leads instead of taking the players off the leash and letting them express themselves.. the only time under clough we really went for it was in the second leg of the playoffs when we were already out of it.. we never went for it under Adkins...

Had a brief chat with wilder before the season started and said to him he'll get a right following and a right backing if they just put 100% in and we fans see it, we will lose, but not without a fight.... happy days, long may the smiles stay on our faces..

He knows it's not "toxic" at the lane so long as what's on the pitch cares as much as we do, that's the difference..

Agree with that but it's harder to be successful playing good football in the lower leagues.

Take our neighbours Sheff Wed.
They want to play good football but feel the need to spend big money to bring in talented skilful players to fit that style.

Where as the likes of Hull and Burnley are more street wise and play a more solid stronger game.
Neil Warnock always use to put a lot of store in buying the experienced street wise type over skill.

we'll see won't we. Maybe not the manager but the player slagging off will be back by some here straight away. It's the messageboard / phone in age, don't you know

Absolutely correct. We pay our money you know, and that entitles us not only to hurl vile abuse at players and managers alike but also to claim to be the best fans in the land. No contradiction there, is there?

I'm off now to the Lane Library now, where the majority of the best fans in the land will, as usual, sit in silence until they feel a self-important moan is required. If they're lucky they'll get a poor performance and the opportunity to trot out their favourite "worst United team I've ever seen" refrain.

if we lose /when we lose 98% will be behind the manager

Think you're talking out of your arse mate
It's the kind of thing I've grown tired of hearing on these message boards
If you expect it to be all sweetness anfmd light in here go on the Disney forum
