Thorpe Salvin is in Rotherham borough so it is in Yorkshire. Its postal address might be Worksop, Notts though.
I stand corrected. I know it from the canal and there is a lock just outside Shireoaks called Boundary Lock which would place Thorpe on the Yorks side. Cheers :)

I remember my Dad saying something about Shireoaks having three Oak trees , one in each county, hence its name. Not sure how much truth there is in this though!

If we are throwing the net wider, i know in Lancashire there is a Deane, a Bradshaw and a Shaw.
