We didn't pay a fee for him.

No, I meant:

1. He was on loan
2. Adkins wanted him on a permanent
3. A clause was stuck in for us to sign him o/c the loan period (maybe when we'd got the munneh when Adkins had got us promoted ... etc)

The wages to income percentage increase 80% to 107% is pretty frightening.
Finally nailing the myth of Clough 'paid for everything out of the Cup run' bollocks
Loses, impairments, All in all some grim reading of Cloughs tenure

Sorry, what I meant was that because there was no transfer fee he wouldn't be included in that section if the accounts. The costs Madkins forced on us would, I believe, be in the wages section.

That should be offset somewhat by the however many million pounds we received in sell on fees this pre-season yet didn't spend on new players.

Is it true that there is a Desso pitch holdings plc, which owns the grass surface and charges ‘sprinklers and hoses’ ltd £500k a game for the rights to watering and the football club £1 million a game for the right to play on it?

Family company goes by the name of 'Murphy's'

Please forgive my financial illiteracy. Could you give a layman-friendly summary of these indecipherable docs ? I'm guessing that we're still haemorrhaging cash and dependent on the goodwill of McCabe and the Saudi, but in better shape than many. Right ?

Appreciate yer assistance :)

Wages fell from £11.3m to £10.0m. Turnover increased to over £11.3m.

That's pretty much it.

By my calculations we will have to hope that Southend will accept some eggs and milk for Ryan Leonard.

A 6m loss is about par for the championship and we more or less ran as one last season
We are in the extremely lucky position of having mccabe keeping us stable , not that many think so
still too many only see money coming in from the odd sale and we apparently have no running costs in some peoples eyes

and we apparently have no running costs in some peoples eyes

..every football club has running costs, right down to Sunday Leagues.

P.S- You appear to be forgetting Princey's contribution also?

Its complicated, I'm not an accountant and don't pretend to understand it all but from what I can make out Kevin's side also put in 2.6 million of new share capital in June 2017 into Blades Leisure and presumably so did the Prince. Like many footy clubs we also make a loss and these appear to some extent to be offset by loans from the chain of parent companies, not unreasonable. Bottom line is Kevin and the Prince appear to be putting in many millions each year which I am very thankful for. Nothing to suggest anyone is taking chunks of money out of the club nor justify questions of where's the money gone in my view.

It's OK, academy sales make a profit, we're laughing lads and lasses.
