A friendly against the Czech Republic has been pencilled in for November 18 with England hoping to be celebrating qualification for the European Championships after the upcoming play-off with Wales.

"I’m very much looking forward to taking the Under-21s to Bramall Lane," Pearce told the Football Association website.

"It’s a club and a city with a fantastic football history and I’m sure the fans will turn out to see England.

"The Play-Offs against Wales will be tough matches but we are determined to qualify for the Championship and the Czech Republic game is intended as the first step towards preparing the squad for the Finals."

great news :D
hope the fans turn out in good numbers so that it boosts our chances of getting chosen for the 2018 world cup :D.

Good News!

Hopefully it will go some way to getting matches for the World Cup!

I've seen the U21s in some right shit holes... Oakwell being one :D

It's about time we had some at the Lane.

Great news!!
I no doubt will be trying to attend this, good to see Blackys mate Pearce giving us some credit :D

Cheap too,

England v Czech Republic
Under-21 International Friendly
7.45pm, Tuesday 18 November 2008
Bramall Lane, Sheffield United FC
Tickets £10 for adults and £5 for concessions

Should fill the Lane at those prices, just don't like the idea of piggies sitting on the Kop!

Ah... let them experience what it's like in a nice, modern ground for a change :D

Got my ticket on Saturday; last time I saw England U21s was at the Sty. This will be a much more pleasant affair.

The nice chap in the ticket office even said we could change our seats to the Kop if and when it goes on sale. Fingers crossed!

LOL, i hope the band is still banned from Bramall Lane though!

Did you hear that joke of a band on saturday?!

FFS, it was like listening to balamory!

Everytime walcott touched the ball, without fail, they would harp the "der der der der, theo walcott" tune, of which no one sang along.

Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure they are not even allowed into the sty!

If 15 people want to get tickets, we can all get a 50% discount for a group booking ;)

Let me know...

Yeah sure, I'd go with the group if you want to count me in :)

Cool beans... just a reminder for those who can't work it out (special people).

Adults (50% off) = £5
Chabbies, biddies and soap-dodgers (50% off) = £2.50

May be interested in getting two tickets please Linz depending on work. When is the deadline? :)

I'd be looking to get them Thursday/Friday next week so if I can know by then, that'd be wonderful :)

I think we worked out at the pub last night that we'd got enough people for the discount, so as long as they all come through, it's half price tickets for all :)

Thank you!

Will let you know!

Has anything happened with the tickets Linz?
If so I can drop money to Foxy's at some point

No, I didn't get chance really towards the end of last week with feeling poorly but no one has been forthcoming with the cash either.

If people get the cash to me by a week on Saturday (Reading Home) then I can sort the tickets. Unless I get 15 confirmed though, the tickets will be full price. I can still sort them for people, but there won't be the discount.
