Where does your club rank for engaging with their fans?

A new league table reveals that Exeter City are the best club for fan engagement in English football with Norwich City the only Premier League team to make the top 10.

Can’t help but think that this is a contrived piece of analysis.

Lower league team’s being higher because of ownership structures that have arisen from genuine toil and financial strife isn’t a valid measure of clubs who spend their whole life in the top division.

As to where we finished, I’m surprised. But then I guess we don’t actually have a say in how the club is run beyond the odd removal of footwear and ritual abuse during laps of honour. Ask anyone on the outside of our club though and they think we show complete unity from top to bottom right now.

Aren't we consistently top of the social media engagement leagues with fans? Given most fans use this these days, I'd be surprised if this wasn't a factor in deciding the rank.

To be fair, we don't need ranks like this to tell us. I feel more connected to the club than ever and that's not just because what's going on on the pitch, bit the little things that happen, the little stories you hear like Hendo becoming pals with that sick lad, wilder getting the bus, players drinking in the pubs round Bramall Lane after promotion....
