From the Star..........

A Blades fanatic is hoping to win the top prize after reaching the final 10 in a national competition to find the UK's most devoted football fan.

The avid Sheffield United fan has pulled on red and white stripes week after week to follow their beloved team all over the country.

The finalist has been a devoted United fan for 30 years and even went to a match four days after a cancer operation.

Find the identity of the dedicated Blades fan and get the full story in tomorrow's Star.

It's not the same guy who was on some sky program who hitched a ride to plymouth in the freezing cold snow and then camped in a field before hitching his way back the next day is it?

doubt its shred, hes been going longer than 30 years!

Shred is perhaps one of a few that deserves some recognition although most who have been attending for all those years deserve medals!

:p

Quote one of his mates used to use.. "if Shred ain't there then United don't play"

Shred'd hate any recognition. The nearest he got to it was that photo with him in, waiting for a piss at Portsmouth that's in "Blades Tales".

Absolute gem is Shred.
