Having been at the 125 clebration makes you realise what a great club we all clappers and the half empty glass fans love.pleasure to meet silverfox, foxy and his missis and co the atmosphere was great.
When you see great players like woody eddie and Tony currie it brings back all those great memories heart aches as well as that was a time when we had real flair in our team and we sometimes came unstuck due to this but entertainers they were.
History tells you that they:rs never a dull moment things are always happening good and bad.we have been on the end of some shocking decisions by football administrators and possible corruption all in the past including some bad
decisions by our club powers that be.
We have come through all this stronger than ever our crowds 18000 sat proves that(we have had smaller gates in the top division 1960""s) the future can be very bright,if anything i would say that passion for the club is stronger than ever as the 1200 at the 125 party would testify just need to get out of this division.
Cloughy is charged with honour of doing this and i for one think he is the right man we need patience because
he is doing it his way, hopefully the right way.time will tell ! . If listened to Jim phipps interview he has been given a budget which should be good enough to acheave the goal set. The future of all managers in the game revolves around results and nigel knows this so the team building he has and is in the process of doing will lay out his future at the lane we need to trust him at this present time to get it right.
What does the future evolution of this great football club have in store ? i for one think the future is bright.some may think differently but they are just piggies in disguise.

I was with you all the way and then you went and spoiled it by calling dissenters, Piggies.
Such a shame.

As Zanzibar said, a pity you had to make such an infantile inference about those Blade's fans who happen to disagree with your view of the club. There are a few people on the forum that I've disagreed with, but it would never cross my mind to make such an accusation. They express their commitment to the club in ways that I don't happen to share, but they are Blades pure and simple. You might as well say that a right back is less of a Blade than the left winger.
Anyone who attended Saturday's event is a Blade to the core of their being, so think long and hard before making such ludicrous statements.....otherwise a good post. UTB

TarquinDelouche and SouthEssexBlade, gentlemen, you are invited to head the Blades peace keeping corp, your sense of gravity and even handedness will ensure that not a minute passes without a raised eyebrow UTB

With Tarqs being a top boy, sitting at the top table, he can hardly be peace-keeper and put the boot in.

Are you disagreeing with me..?

I'm smiling at that, no Tarqs, the reality is that there are what might be called factions amongst our support. I don't think it's intended, but there are those who would prefer a set of negatives to exist to bring some sort of meaning to why they follow the club.......my comment was meant with a smile (must remember to add one in future) and not to cause offence. As for SouthEssexBlade, I'm well aware of the Tarkster casting a long shadow over anyone who might disagree, so the last thing I'd expect is a dual role to be fulfilled.

Im always keen to listen to both sides of any argument , and willing to change opinion , if proven wrong , my gripe is with the few who have beliefs for example that mccabe is a charlatan , but arent prepared to believe hes written off the debt for the good of the club, I wanted him to leave 2 /3 years ago when he declared hed lost his desire, but he really does seem genuinely back on our side ,sort of got his mojo back , but things wont change in 3/6 months from where it started , We were in desperate striats, yes partly down to him , but he is , like it or not our financial rock , The plan is to sensibley ease our way out of league one without over stretching the finances , as the income is only finite, and if we spend say 4 mill and dont get 1 of 3 places we are just adding to debt . We should support the efforts at rebuilding with a wholly owned squad , yes needs tweeking , and still need a striker , but we arent in the sump this season we are in the carberettor able to accelerate come january

again , why start with the most cynical view , Im not saying your wrong but is it the best starting point
Other than throw every last penny he has at us I cant see what more he could do , because if I were a multi millionaire Id back the club but would be cautious not to flush all my hard earned wealth down the money pit any football club is

did you see the brisatol city billionaire on football league show , hes openly watching every penny hes investing , frugal ness personified , a football club makes millionaires out of billionaires
just got a ticket for the spanish gordo lottery 50 euros a ticket , can win 4 billion , if I win an eighth share like lasr years winners it would help the blades , but want value for money , not get more than 10%

Fuck me!
Have we turned into Pokemon FC or summat?

We will absolutely smash this league when we click and then reinforce in January. I have no doubt
