Could Whitehouse take the left wing back position leaving space for ... Curtis Woodhouse in the centre? Thought he could have been a Lane Legend had things gone a bit differently.

Done before, but taking it from the point of view of only including players I've seen, with the added twist of an alternative for every position

1. McAllister/ Kelly
2. Badger/ Gage
3. Bolton/ Hemsley
4. Jagielka/ Holdsworth
5. Colquhoun/ Stancliffe
6. Hockey/ Eddy
7. Woodward/ Morris
8. Edwards/ Agana
9. Deane/ Dearden
10. Currie/ Hamson
11. Salmons/ Beagrie

I agree he could have been. But he moved to Birmingham far too early in his career and it ruined him. Can't bracket him as a lane legend myself. Dane has to be in the middle. With him and Trevor Hockey roughing the opposition up, Currie can play freely and work his magic :D

plus far more to mention over the years to many in certain positions

We can't really do an alltime 11 as none of us can remember the players that actually won things - Tunstall, B Gillespie, Priest, Needham, Bennett et al.

Father in law [who played for the Blades] always said Hagan was better than Currie. Must have been some player!

Keeper - Kelly.
Defence - Jags.
Midfield - Hockey and TC.
Forwards - Woody, Deane, Agana, Edwards.

Bugger the other three. This eight would piss all over this division.
