How much does everyone drink during the season, pre and post match?

I know there are those against the whole, match, drinking, up and down pissing etc, HOWEVER it happens and appears to happen a lot amongst us Blades.

Its not big or clever, however is anyone else's perception of our fans include a following, more than most clubs, who have a liking for the more social side of the game?

I always meet up with my mates for a few pre match beers for home games, usually only have three or four pints but don't usually bother after the game.
Away days are a bit different though. We always stop the coach somewhere on the way to away games and will drink anything between four and seven pints. This figure does sometimes include another drink on arrival if there is a decent pub near the ground but sometimes means drinking the shite on sale in the ground.
I can't speak for fans of other clubs but I'd bet The Blades would be Premiership in a
drinking league.
After all, "all the blade men love their gravy, all the blade men love to spew." Etc.

Sometimes I go to the match and and have a few pints, sometimes I go to the match and don't drink anything. I'm a bit weird like that.

A large coke and ten pints in't it?

Always had a drink before/after game not bothered in ground , its part of the day , game and working class culture I was brought up on & damn proud of that not ashamed , for all those that don't like this or want to change this go and watch ice hockey or basketball & have a pre match meal at Frankie & Benny's ....personally you can like it or fkg lump it for me , I was probably watching football long before the anti drinking brigade jumped on the band wagon & I'll still be there after the Sky TV bubble has burst.

I'm going into town around 2 for the afternoon tomorrow so il let you know!

I live on the moon so I can't have more than the odd one or two.

So does this one, apparently

In answer to the question. None pre-match, several post match (depending on the result, i.e during the Adkins season I was more or less teetotal)

Typically a pre-match pint, possibly two, and occasionally a half-time libation, but nothing heroic as time is always limited.

However Scunthorpe at home last season wasn't just heroic, I was a drinking superhero on a mission to save the world's breweries from ever going out of business. It didn't enhance my enjoyment of the game, but it did contribute to a cracking day out.

And MK last season saw String and I put away more than is usually reasonable in an hour and a half before the game, followed by a rather classy hour waiting outside the train station supping cans and using a litter bin as a table "we're the String brothers, well sup where we want..."

Nowt usually. Maybe the odd couple of pints if it's local, otherwise I'm driving. I go to watch the football mainly and I prefer to be able to remember it, and watch what's actually happening. The only time I regret not being more pissed is at Cardiff. I wish I'd been unconscious.

** Shakes head in disbelief **

Alcohol is killing the game :(

We went back to the Green Man after the Semi Final

They couldn't open because they'd run out of booze

And I mean everything

It's the dickheads on coke who are a problem, away days are rife with it.

And of course, one of the effects of coke is that it enables you to drink in greater amounts and at greater frequency.

All things in moderation. I must admit I've had a wee dab of charlie once or twice at away games, but its not made me act like a dickhead.

Come to think of it it might have done.

I'm on a very irresponsible combination of Buckfast and Jamesons tonight. Probably would've been safer with charlie to be honest!

You're spot on with that I sometimes think I'm the odd man out don't do Charlie.
Adkins time I was done for 6oclock last season 3 before the match 1 half time then 4 up to 7 job done.
What a load of bollocks Charlie
