Sorry but only a brief recap for now.

Full report to come tomorrow but been in Germany (Hamburg and Berlin) for 4 days and landed a few hours before the game so understandably knackered but for now....

Odd game. We definitely deserved to win. First half we were excellent. It was like Villa, Cardiff and Bristol at the Lane but we scored two and looked in control. Two amazing goals from Evans. We were all over them with Brooks very infuential and everyone at it. They rightly had one sent off and were incredibly dirty fouling us all over the field. Did not help the refs performance who never had control of he game at all. We looked like we may go on and win 3 or 4-0.

Second half pulis made three subs. They came out and looked a different side. They scored a scrappy goal as Clarke lost his man on another set play concession. They played higher up the field and started to win all the loose balls and pressed us. However we became panicky and nervous even when unchallenged. We made bad decisions all over. They did not have lots of chances and Evans missed best one of the half for both sides but Goes on curled just wide in an effort similar to the Snodgrass goal for Villa. We were hanging on. They chucked in long throws and put more men forward but we just held on.

Now we face a huge game Saturday and another must win. We have to be more consistent. We go from brilliant to rubbish or vice versa and seen that both last two games. We still give sloppy goals away and still not ruthless enough at the other end.

Still first half was a joy at times and I feel our inability to win or finish games just saw them panicky. The goal back changed it and gave them life.

Full report and ratings to come tomorrow morning including mymatch report/experience rom hamburg v schalke.

Traore looked very dangerous for them when he got the ball first half but strangely he got hooked at half time. Howson was excellent for them. Fleck had an odd game - first half he was his usual excellent self, then second half he went out of the game and kept losing it in dangerous areas. Evans will never hit two better strikes. Thought Baldock was excellent for us.

all games are must wins for our fans
then theres bad wins, lucky wins and scrappy wins before we get to good wins

4 more wins of any description should with everyone playing each other see any team that does it in the play offs

why not us

we know when we play well we are good enough

Their early goal, their substitutions & our change in formation seemed to give them the upper hand. I can't remember a team playing as well with a man less. As daft as it sounds, they had a lovely 'balance' with 10 men. There were times in the 2nd half when they appeared to have a man over when attacking. I was also fearful of Fleck picking up a 2nd yellow for a tug or trip as time went on. Millwall on Saturday is huge.
