Is there anything else going on that’s worthy of discussion?

I didn’t hear the programme tonight as it’s generally drivel midweek in the season let alone in the summer. I do get your point about the FH Team rudeness to callers at times. If callers dare to disagree with them they regularly get spoken over and cut short.

They do get so much right at Radio Sheffield with regards to football coverage in fairness.

Wednesday fans always accuse Radio Sheffield of being pro Sheff Utd. They also call it Radio Pig, so we have something in common.

Giddings always seems to raise his voice in excitement whenever the opposition score against Wednesday. Also Staton is far harsher on Sheff Wed, often ridiculing them and too praise worthy towards Sheff Utd. On the Owlstalk forum many thought he was a Unitedite as he has a general dislike towards SWFC. Obviously he’s hiding his loyalties well because a few had said they knew him at school in Rotherham and he was a Wednesday fan back then.

Regards the subject matter it’s an open forum decided by the callers.

Why can’t fans understand the format of a radio phone in show? Instead of complaining that their club doesn’t get enough of a mention can never understand why fans can’t do something about it and ring in to speak about their club.

The callee didn’t seem to understand that it’s the callers who make the show. No callers no show.

He went to the trouble of ringing up but choose to complain instead of talking about United. It’s quite funny really. A few month back I remember a Barnsley fan complain their station was biased towards the Sheffield clubs and they never talk about Barnsley. A few times Staton invited the caller to talks about Barnsley but he continued to complain about bias so they cut him off.

Staton then gave out an open invitation explaining they can’t magic up callers and he’d love loads of Barnsley fans to call up so they could talk about Barnsley but no one did.

Wednesday are the main news at the moment so it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to understand they will attack almost all the callers as there’s little news elsewhere.

Agreed.

It’s going to be pig-centric at the moment given the pantomime that’s going on over there.

I’ve found something more interesting to do, like hitting myself in the bollocks with a football boot.

No. And they struggle for decent calls at the best of times.

Feel like they scuppered themselves as the hosts started to get more self-righteous and they favoured shite regular callers who would fill airspace like Brian the Blade.

I heard a couple of minutes recently where they were calling people ridiculous for entertaining the idea that Wilder could be sacked. People can have different opinions about whether that was harsh or a bad idea but it was very obviously in the realms of possibility.

I think it's because there's lots going on down there at the min?

We have had new gaffer saga and interviews with him and as we choose to usually do our transfers late on in window there's not much to discuss, is there?
 
Considering what the various clubs that Radio Sheffield cover have got going on respectively at present, I don't find it surprising that the filth, and their various disasters, are the sole/primary point of discussion at present, regardless of it Staton is hosting or not. Because, what else have they really got to talk about?

Fixtures came out yesterday admittedly, but that's not really a big deal. We might find it a point of discussion on here, but in comparison to the collapse going on at S6, it's nothing.

No major talking points for them to address with United. They put out their interview with Selles the other day so that's already covered. We haven't got anything indicating we're closing in on transfers yet, so not really anything to discuss on that front either. And the other sides they cover, tend to get lesser coverage normally anyway. So all they're left with is Chansiri, and his wonderful world of fuck-ups.

I know Radio Sheff has occasions where some of their coverage is a bit baffling, but I don't know what else folk are expecting right now. An in-depth chat about how our new pitch will bed in perhaps?

Chairman is a psycho
Wages not been paid
Players can hand notice in from next week
VAT bill due
Manager not been seen
North stand about to be closed down
Training ground not ready to train on
3 transfer window ban

Have I missed anything?

Unlike their other Chairman, Dave Allen, who was a pure businessman, I don’t think Chancer is nasty and vindictive.
It’s weird because as a generalisation Thailand must have the nicest, most respectful people in the world.

I’d say their owner is more like Mr Bean…..everything suggests he’s never been a businessman and doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing.
