Thought he sounded a complete tosser, arrogent and just like McCabe to peas in a pod. He actually thought we did ok, If i had been seth i would have slotted him there and then he was watching a different game to everyone else hate to say it but at least laws comes on and slags his team if they have been crap gets a bit over excited if they do ok but still has go if they are slacking there are clearly problems the board needs to act now before its to late.

McCabe is arrogant? Funny that the people who've met him don't think the same.

Nah McCabe aint arrogant but Blacky is if he thinks it was just luck that Blackpool got 3.

He most certainly isn't!!!

Didn't hear the interview, although sounds like it was an interesting one. I think an interview tomorrow will be far more concluding, once Blackie has had time to think about tonight.

With any luck he wont be here tomorrow.

As I said Saturday the writing is on the wall. Outclassed and outplayed by Blackpool and Scunthorpe end of. He's a 'dead man walking'. It's just a question of when the trigger is pulled. Hopefully for all concerned sooner rather than later. I'm not angry with him as such as he's done well up until recently. He leaves us in a better position than when he joined. I still think with the right manager we can do something with the squad that we have.

I think BBC Website must have adapted what he said a little!!!
Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell:
"We are going through a bad time, but I feel our work ethic is good and the spirit is there.

"Things didn't go for us when it mattered. We were the better side in the first half, but the first goal made a difference and Blackpool got on top.

"I've got injuries. But things will start to happen, I'm not worried."

I hope he gets the chop when no doubt Cardiff nearly get into double figures.

Yep, I think you're right. The squad can play better than they are, we've seen it in patches but someone has to get the players back working together and change the approach. I can't see Blackwell doing that, even if he does get everyone fit.

The half of the squad we actually have under contract will be looking for a way out in Jan and the half we don't will be wanting to go back to wherever they're from unless someone shows a lead soon.

Mind you Newcastle lost at Scunthorpe and Blackpool as well recently. Problem is i can see them turning things around. I can't see where our next win is coming from.

Newcastle have a squad with plenty of quality players in. We've got a squad full of average players and loanees.

thing is i bet they arnt playing the boring hoofball to no one football we are, so there fans arnt coming away from matches with absolutly nothing

I can't understand Blackwell's comment about not being worried. We've conceded a huge amount of goals in recent games, against relatively poor opposition.

if we win on saturday it will only cover the cracks and the fact that were playing shite football and our manager has lost the plot

does anyone know if/where you can hear the interview. ive been looking and cant find it. i missed it, but it sounds too interesting to miss out on!

Of course it will.

We only ever get lucky wins cos the manager hasn't a clue.

He must have thought he had won the lottery last season. Shame it was only 5 plus the bonus ball.

This season he should have been going for the Euromillions but just doesn't have the luck.

Get Viv Nicholson in. She knows how to get lucky wins and how to spend money for fun.

After his interview it became clear to me why he normally sends Ellis out after a crap result, at least with him you can never tell if he's being wound up by questioning as he's always a miserable, truculent old git.

For all the chat that the Radio Sheffield boys are up Blackwell's arse I'd praise Seth for asking the questions Blackwell clearly didn't want to hear and which he was so unconvincing in answering. Telling as well that Paul Walker and Keith Edwards also voiced opposition to Blackwell's views.

Blackwell slagged the team off against Scunny, then again with some of our goldfish fans, they probably can't remember four or five days ago.

Santos - there were some in last couple of weeks who have slagged Blacky for barking instructionsfrom the touch line instead of letting the players get on with it. Now he gets it for not shouting to players !!!

Fans eh - who'd have 'em.

That's the first time I've heard that, and to be honest half of it he's talking rubbish in my opinion.

He said everything they hit went in, when they had 16 shots. He says we were unlucky, which we weren't.

We're not getting the drops because the way we are playing doesn't allow us to be in the situation to get them.

He's a man under pressure and he's letting it get to him in a massive way.

There was no reason to have a go at Seth Bennett for that question, all he had to say was that the spirit's still there and we're going to fight our way out of it. The way he reacted shows that he's trying to cover something up more than anything.

Having not been in long and having witnessed the shambles at Blackpool last night I have to wonder if Blackwell actually saw what was happening. He certainly wasn't watching the ame rubbish as me.
Ball not dropping for us......Jeez. Stop telling them to lump it.

There is an old saying;

"If it looks like dog shite and smells like dog shite, chances are that it is dog shite".

Wake up Blackwell and smell the.................... !

Just listened to the radio interview, it was cringeworthy.

Agreed.

Certainly sounded under pressure even just being asked simple questions. Team spirit is it there? Like fuck it is.

It was cringeworthy on both sides though i thought. Paul Walker sounded an idiot too.

What were they waffling on about in the last like 20 seconds of that interview?

I think they forgot to turn the transmission off. They're talking about Kenny's hearing. Blackwell says he's devastated.
