Blackwell.... is he on his way?

Betting odds have been suspended tonight, and alot of rumours around the net suggest he is on his way and McCabe is sorting a settlement fee.

This needs to be sorted either way. If he aint going he needs to come out and say so.

Would you lot like him to go or stay? Has he done a good job under the circumstances or were you expecting promotion?

I would be delighted if he left and we got compensation for him leaving. Nice bloke, results wise has been pretty good and he seems to have brought harmony into the squad/club but he has one major failing; he can't influence games. Once you go 1-0 down (or play a team with nothing to lose) with Blackwell it's pretty much curtains. End of game. I don't know if it's tactical naivety, inability to motivate or the fact he has no plan B when plan A doesn't work, I suspect a mixture of the three.

Having said that, McCabe's previous choice of Robson was even more worrying, everyone in the country who follows football knew where that one was heading (except McCabe). Maybe better the devil you know? If Blackwell leaves he'll probably end up appointing Glenn Roeder. (I'm not knocking McCabe, he's by far the best chairman I can remember, I just wish he'd appoint a football man to make footballing decisions).

KB has been on the radio this morning mentioning the lack of preparation time for next season.

As rachy says, if something is going off, it needs to be sorted soon... either way.
