And haven't won away from home in just under 500 days.

So why do I feel like it's such a United thing to do to gift them a win? Am I still in the mindset under Clough where we were regularly seen as a charity, gifting the likes of Fleetwood, Peterbrough and Crewe their first ever win at Bramall Lane?

Let's not ruin our revival by chucking it away against the worst side in the league at a canter.
Comfortable 4-0 even if the players are just playing at 6's and 7's out of 10.

PLEASE United, it's a new dawn it's a new day it's a new life for us, and I'm feeeeeling good :adkins:

No mate, it's being going on all my life.... it's not a Clough thing, it's a long-standing "United thing".

I wish you'd kept these "factoids" under your hat - we're all going to be dreading it now! You can just feel disaster in your waters now! :(

F**k !!!!!!

Sorry :(
I just remember ALL last season they didn't win away, So I checked for the last time they won, they beat Wigan last away game of 2013/14!

Come on Blades. Don't go all 'Sheffield United' on us now.

The all time longest run for league games without a win in English football was set by Derby County, who went 361 days and 38 games without a win from September 2007 to September 2008.

They ended the run by beating us 2-1.

I'm backing Blackpool heavily.

I was there that day, and also had the dubious pleasure of working in Derby at that time.

Let's just say work on Monday morning wasn't the most pleasant of experiences.

I'm not a betting man - does anyone know what the odds are on Blades win/draw/Blackpool win tomorrow?

Considering that May to August is 3 months, you can knock 90 days off this 200 days... considering they haven't played. And then you can add the fact that during that 110 days they probably only play every 3 days.... its not quite as shocking.

That's good odds in a 2 horse race when we are the favourites. I feel an insurance bet coming on.

Damn you and your logical unpicking of a perfectly good headline ;)

It's down to Adkins to make sure the players aren't complacent. Blackpool were shit in a higher league and could well lift themselves playing a club like ours, we're the one everyone wants to beat in this division.

He could have said "They haven't won for 20 minutes"... the effect would be the same... danny brought up a fact relating to sequences that we know we have painful experience of being broken at our expense!

So, no it is shocking, it's appalling and desperate. It's gruesome. It's nailed on, my hair is falling out and my heart has sunk lower than the Titanic... I can just feel it in my bones... 5-0 loss tomorrow.... surely..... :)

In all the years I've been watching United, it's felt as if we've consistently managed to end any other club's poor away run at BDTBL, so thanks for this danny. God I hope this is the start of a new era and a move away from that but cue daft result and total forum meltdown but we shouldn't really over react - it's the Bladesway, the "real" Sheffield United.

When we played Yeovil (a) last season, the Glovers (why?) had won just one in 12. The new manager - the eternally-useless Paul Sturrock - took charge for his first game against the Blades on 14th April.

You know the rest...

And how many times is a failing manager sacked just before they play us? I reckon it happens almost every season.

On 7th February, 2015 (one week before Post #24) Justin Edinburgh was appointed manager of Gillingham. Later that day, they played Sheffield United.

You know the rest...

I can go to the game expecting a defeat then, anything else will be a bonus.

It's 22 games since they won. FACT! :-) However you look at it, that's poor by anybody's standards.

It's 28 away games since they won away. FACT! That's more than a season's worth of games, plus a couple of cup ties.

I still fancy us to upset the record books :-)

Yes but with an entire summer in between. I don't know, but is the manager even the same? They're not even in the same division as last year.
