Blackman has the potential to be England’s next goalie in the next few years, I rate him very highly

Not at the game so can't judge but doesn't Stevens deserve a mention, he did what a good wing back should do and was hanging around the penalty spot while the other wing back did his thing. Needs a cuddle after lots of negative reviews this season. Could be a good player if used well like that.

Blackman made a decent save. The rest I would expect any half decent / competent keeper to make.

He did ok.

The lad has a few solid games (well played lad) and suddenly some on here are thinking he's a top class keeper. He isn't. But I get the potential argument, cos the lad has plenty of that.

I also don't go with the we have two top keepers thought either. We have two keepers who are fairly decent and young, but prone to the odd error. They aren't top class but then again neither of them are poor keepers.

Out of the two I would say Blackman has the greater potential. I think he will play in the premiership, with who i'm not too sure, but he has all the attributes needed to be a top class keeper. Moore, I'm not sure. Hes a league 1 player for me at the moment - a decent back up keeper. Yes he made a top penalty save down at Reading..but then he was poor on their goal. He has time but he isn't any great shake at the moment.

Wouldn' be against Blackman signing in the summer but he is a work in progress. Id probably like the lad to sign, but there are other keepers out there better than him at the moment, though his trump card is potential.

I know Brooks will rightly get a lot of praise and credit after that match for that well taken goal but we have to give some serious credit to Blackman. He had 2 outstanding saves first half, I was sat behind the goal in the Kop and I was absolutely sure one was going in. Both were at a time that could have made them go 1-0 up or equalise. The game could have easily played out another way if one of those went in.

His distribution has been under question but with the exception of one or two balls he got it all spot on today and I think he has that no. 1 jersey now til the end of the season. UTB

The kid has come in leaps and bounds lately its dawned on him how big he is and nobody can push him around in the box.
His handling of crosses and distribution have improved 100%
Think he could be Chelsea No1 in the none too distant future.
